A shipyard is a shoppe or stall that produces ships and bludgeons. It sells charts from the current island to any neighboring island in the same archipelago (the fee is a PoE sink). A shipyard is highly popular among players looking to expand their fleet. The associated crafting puzzle is shipwrightery.

Produces

1Availability depends on size of shoppe/stall. Stalls cannot hold the commodities required for merchant galleons and above. This excludes xebecs which require the exact same capacity as a deluxe shipwrighting stall provides minus one kg of hold space.

Docksides

These commodities can be offered for automatic trade with other stalls or ships. Other commodities can be stored in the hold but can only be traded manually.

Other commodities are included in dockside trading for creating limited-edition ships, but only for the month the ship is orderable. This primarily includes other paint colors, though sugar cane and thorianite have also been used.

Construction

Construction Costs
Bazaar Basic Upgrade Downgrade
Basic labor 2,100 1,400 700 140
Skilled labor 600 400 200 40
Expert labor 300 300 150 30
Iron 600 400 200 N/A
Stone 11,000 6,000 3,000 N/A
Tan cloth 300 200 100 N/A
Wood 1,000 520 260 N/A
A basic shipyard also requires 30 doubloons

A shipyard bazaar must be completed before a shipyard shoppe can be built. (Exception: outpost islands.) A shipyard bazaar is 6x6 while a shoppe is 8x6.

Labor and storage

Labor & Storage
Max labor/hr Mass (kg) Volume (L)
Small stall 11 25,000 125,000
Medium stall 17 70,000 350,000
Deluxe stall 23 100,000 500,000
Shoppe 45 500,000 2,500,000
Upgraded shoppe 68 750,000 3,750,000

Each size shipyard has different amounts of labor that can be used per hour, and different amounts of storage space. The more labor that can be used, the faster the shipyard can produce ships.

As mentioned earlier, only shoppes can make merchant galleons, war frigates or grand frigates as stalls don't have enough capacity for the commodities needed to produce them.

For the same reason, small stalls can produce only sloops. Medium stalls can only produce sloops, cutters, dhows, fanchuans, longships and baghlahs.
