Holiday Vicennium Celebration!
Hark! The elf heralds cry. Fire the celebratory cannons, It's Puzzle Pirates 20th anniversary!
20 years ago, on December 8, 2003, Puzzle Pirates officially set sail out of beta. Fer those countin’, that’s 2 decades of puzzlin’ pirates haulin’ in the booty with their crewmates. T' celebrate; we’re hostin' a month-long celebration!
Fer the first week, keep an eye out fer an event blockade. Be sure to grab your best treasure haulin’ mates, as there’s quite a lot of booty that needs to be hauled in before sinkin’ to the bottom o’ the sea. The week is loaded with competitions and tournaments to win anniversary-themed prizes. Ye may even spot one o’ those cagey “Lucky” pirates with the white name. Feel free to challenge ‘em in a game of skill.
In preparation o' this momentous occasion, the elves worked up a real hunger buildin' some new 'n excitin' anniversary ‘n winter-themed booty fer ye pirates. During the team competition which starts on the 15th and ends on January 5th, ye’ll race to' collect Gingerversary Cookies fer our hungry Elves. They’ll only give up the booty if’n ye bring them some sweets. Beware, some o’ this booty is quite rare and will require a large Cookie collectin’ effort. Howlin' at the Moon
Ye know we pirates love to parrrrty on Halloween. This year we’re takin’ it a few steps farther. Be sure to check out all the festivities so ye can fill yer pillowcase with all the loot.
What’s a party without some games? To get ye in practice, we have a fine competition prepared for ye: Starting October 20th, Pirates will be invited to participate in 2023 Tooth & Nail IV: Face the Fightin' Fuzzballs. That's right the “Grizzled Baron" is back and he's rousin' his feral folk into a frenzy! The fur will fly as ye fight to send the wild Werewolves howlin' back to their forested isles. Show yer the true pack alpha by squarin' off against the bloodthirsty moon-mad hordes. But beware! Resist the power o' the moon lest ye lose yerself to the lunar lunacy. How do ye win this Event? Simple, ye earn points for your pack for every roving band of island-dwelling werewolves you defeat in a rumble fray.
Be careful, this year the seas have become more treacherous, especially at night. The Grizzled Baron's pack has grown since ye last faced ‘em, they’ve taken to the waters! Werewolves now stalk the straits in the new werewolf vessel expedition. See the release notes for more details.
During the event, there will also be several ghoulish competitions and tournaments afoot.
Along with the event and competitions, pirates might find hordes of monsters washing up on shore at an alarming rate. If yer scared, don’t worry, ye can hide behind one of the masks available at the palace shop. Just remember, these hordes aren’t just on land. Venture to the seas and ye may stumble across a Werewolf vessel expedition.

When yer out Trick-ARR-Treatin’, don’t just wear any o’ thing; ye need to look the part! Lucky for ye, we have some costumes available. Check out the Palace Shoppe to get yerself properly attired for the run of the mill treat hunt, or a Werewolf night on the prowl!
