Admiral Island is a large island located in the Gull Archipelago. There are four known routes from the island: Wensleydale, Basset Island, Isle of Kent and an inter-archipelago to Scrimshaw Island in the Stork Archipelago. Admiral Island is also the first island on any ocean to offer every type of housing; this process was finished under Governor Sidewinder of Lunatic Fringe.

History

Admiral Island was originally located on the Sage Ocean. By following the brown path to the north, one can find an inscription on a log which reads: "This island were fashioned by Waterbug."

When Rogues of Sage took control of Admiral island, an election was held to appoint the new governor. After several discussions on applicants, Ptolemy was appointed governor [1]. During his administration, the following buildings were dusted in order to address the overbuilding of the island:

During the Passive Aggression administration, the shipyard Frigates of the Caribbean was dusted and replaced with Frigates of the Caribbean II (which was later renamed Anchorman). This was done to improve the island's building set up since the first shipyard was located near the beach [2].

After a fair few blockades, in which control shifted among pirate and BK flags, Admiral Island was finally seized by Illium Eternae in October 2010. It has since been controlled by:

Sage blockades

Admiral I, 2006-02-18: Go with the Flow colonized Admiral, defeating Rogues of Sage in a three-round sinking blockade.

Admiral II, 2006-05-13: Go with the Flow defended and retained Admiral in a five-round sinking blockade, defeating Quixotic Tangent in the first blockade on Sage to last more than three rounds. Quixotic Tangent took an early lead, winning the first two rounds, but lost the third round by a mere ten points. The final two rounds were lost by larger margins. This was the first time anyone in the Go with the Flow alliance net had lost a blockade round.

2006-05-20: Go with the Flow disbanded, leaving the island open for re-colonization on 27 May 2006.

Admiral III, 2006-05-27: Lunatic Fringe re-colonized Admiral in a three-round uncontested blockade.

Admiral IV, 2006-10-14: Outcasts gained Admiral, defeating Hardcore Explorers in a four-round sinking blockade. Lunatic Fringe was unprepared to defend and didn't contend while Hardcore Explorers pulled out after round 3.

Admiral V, 2006-10-21: Allied Saruyama Forces attacked in a three-round blockade, but failed to win the island; the final round was sinking.

Admiral VI, 2006-11-18: Allied Saruyama Forces attacked the island again but failed in a three-round sinking blockade.

Admiral VII, 2006-12-03: Rogues of Sage took control of Admiral in a four-round non-sinking blockade. Outcasts pulled out during round 2.

Admiral VIII, 2006-12-17: Rogues of Sage successfully defended the island against Outcasts and Rogue Pirates of Sage in three-round sinking blockade.

Admiral IX, 2007-02-10: Passive Aggression took control of Admiral in a three-round sinking blockade.

Admiral X, 2007-02-24: Passive Aggression defended Admiral from Rogues of Sage in a three-round sinking blockade.

Admiral XI, 2007-05-26: Passive Aggression successfully defended the island against Raving Notion, in a three-round sinking blockade.

Admiral XII, 2007-07-21: Passive Aggression successfully defended the island against Candy Coated Chaos in a three-round sinking blockade.

Admiral XIII, 2007-08-25: The island was successfully defended from the attack of Shadows Of Sage in a four-round sinking blockade.

Admiral XIV, 2007-10-20: The island was successfully defended from the attack of Azarbad the Great and The All-Consuming Flame in a three-round sinking blockade.

Admiral XV, 2007-12-15: The island was successfully defended from the attack of Fleet of Dreams in a three-round sinking blockade.

Admiral XVI, 2008-02-17: League of Light took control of the island in a three-round sinking blockade.

Admiral XVII, 2008-03-01: The Widow Queen and her flag Black Veil took control of the island in a three-round sinking blockade.

Admiral XVIII, 2008-03-08: League of Light took control of the island in a three-round sinking blockade against The Widow Queen.

Admiral XIX, 2008-01-05: League of Light defended the island against the attack of Undeclared, in a three-round blockade. The war declaration was returned before the start of the second round, making the second and third rounds sinking. A "pay war" occurred before the start of round two, making both sides pay 4,000 PoE per segment. Undeclared pulled out of the blockade half way through the second round.

Sometime between 21 June 2014 and 12 July 2014, Qlimax transferred control of Admiral back to Doomed.

Admiral LXXXVI, 2014-07-12: Fresh Tarts gained control of Admiral after a three-round sinking blockade against Doomed, Salty, and Qlimax; none of the other flags were serious contenders, however Fresh Tarts later transferred control of the island to Salty. The flags then contested the island again in Admiral LXXXVII on 2014-07-26, with Salty winning all six rounds of the sinking blockade.

Admiral LXXXVIII, 2014-08-10: Black Veil claimed control of the island from Salty, who chose not to defend. Operation Mobilisation reclaimed Admiral from the BK flag the following week (2014-08-16) in Admiral LXXXIX, a four-round blockade.

Admiral XCV, 2015-01-25: Low Blow repelled Operation Mobilisation's attempt to retake the island winning all three rounds of a sinking blockade. OpMo was more successful two weeks later (2015-02-08), reclaiming Admiral in a close five-round sinking blockade (Admiral XCVI), but only held the island for a week before it reverted back to Low Blow in a three-round sinking blockade on Valentine's Day (Admiral XCVII, 2015-02-14). The flags clashed again at the end of the month (Admiral XCVIII, 2015-02-28), but OpMo did not seriously contend, with all three sinking rounds claimed by LB. This was also the result of their fifth meeting in April (Admiral XCIX, 2015-04-25).

Admiral C, 2015-05-10: Low Blow surrendered the island to The Jade Empire, losing all of the blockade's three rounds.

Admiral CI, 2015-05-16: The Explorers Guild defeated The Jade Empire in all three blockade rounds to gain control of Admiral.

Admiral CII, 2015-05-24: Operation Mobilisation reclaimed Admiral in a three-round non-sinking blockade; neither The Explorers Guild nor Black Dawn Brigade seriously contested. OpMo then defended the island from Ridin' High a week later (2015-05-31), in what was also a three-round non-sinking blockade (Admiral CIII).

Admiral CIV, 2015-06-13: In what would be their final encounter of 2015 (involving Admiral), Low Blow defeated Operation Mobilisation to take back control of the island in a three-round sinking blockade. However, LB lost the island just over two weeks later (2015-06-28), failing to contend against Barnabas the Pale's Chthonic Horde in a three-round blockade (Admiral CV).

Admiral CVI, 2015-07-04: Black Dawn Brigade took back Admiral from the BK in a three-round blockade; No Offence Intended also dropped, but failed to seriously contend. BDB's reign was short, however, as previous governors Bacon Strips dropped a week later (2015-07-11), claiming all three sinking rounds of Admiral CVII.

Admiral CVIII, 2015-07-18: Bacon Strips repelled Illuminatti and Black Dawn Brigade in a three-round sinking blockade to retain control of Admiral. Midknight Sun was similarly defeated the following week (2015-07-25) in Admiral CIX.

Admiral CX, 2015-08-02: Low Blow defeated Bacon Strips and Black Dawn Brigade in a three-round sinking blockade to once again control Admiral Island. The flag held the island until 2015-10-11, when they were defeated by Qlimax Telecom in a three-round sinking blockade (Admiral CXI); Illuminatti and Gunslingers also dropped, but did not seriously contend.

Admiral CXII, 2015-10-25: Gunslingers bested Qlimax Telecom 3-to-1 in a four-round sinking blockade to take control of Admiral. Two weeks later, the flag forfeited the island to Fleet of his Imperial Scaled Highness following a three-round blockade (Admiral CXIII, 2015-11-08).

Admiral CXIV, 2015-11-14: Both Midknight Sun and Qlimax Telecom attempted to defeat the BK in a three-round blockade, but were unsuccessful. However, Qlimax Telecom triumphed the following week (2015-11-21) in Admiral CXV, winning three of the blockade's four rounds.

Admiral ???, 2018-2-25: Lit sucessfully defended the island from Pew Pew.
