Hardcore Explorers is a flag of the Emerald Ocean. It was founded on 31 August 2005 on Sage.
Milestones
- On 21 April 2006 Hardcore Explorers was the first flag on Sage to reach 2,000 members, excluding jobbers.(verify)
- On 31 August 2006 Hardcore Explorers became one of the first flags on Sage to reach the one year mark. The birthday celebrations were postponed a few days due to some disruptive issues arising within the flag.
- On 9 October 2006 Evilard and Symonds stepped down as monarch and Captaindredd was elected monarch after the unsuccessful blockade of Scrimshaw Island at Scrimshaw I.
- On 2 November 2006 Evilard re-assumed command of the flag with a renewed sense of determination and a new direction for the flag.
- On December 16, 2006 the royals assumed control after Evilard was going to disband the flag, and began to run Hardcore Explorers as a Republic.
- In March 2007 it was decided to extend the time that a royal would hold the position of monarch before a vote for a new monarch would be held.
- In May 2007 it was decided to keep Dendrobia as monarch at least through the summer.
- On June 2, 2007 Hardcore Explorers began the colonization of Bowditch Island.
- On July 6, 2007 Starfleet, the first crew to join after the founding crews, merged with Hardcore Sea Ravers.
- Fall of 2008 saw the Flag take control of Bowditch, Gauntlet, and Sage|Kasidim. All members of the flag were proud to have played a part in achieving such a goal. The Flag remains a fun, safe home for all despite the turbulent times within the game.

Flag Structure:
- Monarch: The Royal Group of HE is a group that discusses most things and then votes on them. The royals are hand picked for their good flag spirit and working well together. The Monarch has the final responsibility for flag and its well being, both in times of peace and war.
- Royalty: Our flag has employed the idea of "No point having a royal if they don't do anything for us" so to be a royal our members are required to have a position which has the need for the abilities which are only available to royals.
- Titled members: There are currently three ways of getting a titled position. The first is to have a flag job, any flag job will do, just make sure you do it or you won't be able to keep that position. The second is to be very loyal to the flag, and if the royals class you as a trusted member then you will recieve a lordship/ladyship. Each crew also gets a 'free' titled when they join. This position will be given to the captain unless requested otherwise and will not be taken away unless the person given the 'free' lordship/ladyship behaves in a manner that poorly represents the flag.
