This is an extended history of blockades in the Sage Ocean. Blockade winners are indicated in bold. All blockades without defenders (uncolonized) or involving a Brigand King are sinking. All blockades with a player defender and player contenders are non-sinking unless noted otherwise. All dates represent the day (in PST/PDT timezone) that the first round began. Only official contenders and defenders are listed. Contenders' allies are not listed, nor are unallied defenders.

The original sage "SMA" was GWTF/TLB, and Sho et al wanted Kent. TLB decided on Spaniel...not really because we wanted it, but because it was there...and we didn't want to wait an extra two or three months for another island. Come time for Kent one, on Thursday GWTF had enough fame. On Friday they didn't. Someone (I think Sho, petitioned about this, and got OK for TLB to drop--at least that was what they understood). So TLB dropped on Kent in lieu of GWTF. On blockade day, everything was run out of On the Rocks, as GWTF and TLB were allies. In hindsight it seems like a clear-cut case of fame-evasion. Sho will have to tell you about more specifics on that, as GWTF got more flak for it in parley than TLB did, and some OMs may have spoken with Sho. Incidentally, GWTF actually reached the required fame sometime in round one of Kent One, so technically they could've de-allied with TLB and dropped for round two (at least I think that would've worked).
