Real-life counterpart

The junk is a Chinese sailing boat which sailed the oceans as early as 2nd century AD. Being efficient, sturdy and fast, elements of their design were later adopted into Western shipbuilding.

Historical notes

The junk was introduced with release 2010-06-29, alongside other Eastern-themed items including the dadao and katana swords, and various furniture - most of which appear as props in the junk.
