The Tropic class sloop is a limited edition ship that was available from the shipyards in November 2015 and August 2023.

The ship features a triple-layered main deck, a tiki mask figurehead, a tiki lounge complete with a drinking game (in the gun deck), and a mermaid pool (in the main hold). When NPCs are aboard this ship, they are always wearing tropical clothes and a Laurel wreath. This ship is unique from all other ships in that there are no gunning or carpentry stations on the main deck, and there are no carpentry stations in the main hold. Instead, these are all located on the gun deck.

Tropic class ships have one of the following adjectives when delivered: Equatorial, Humid, Sabulous, Steamy, Sultry, Sweltering, Torrid, or Verdurous.
