Notes for New Users
There are some restrictions for wiki usernames. Login with your forum username if it meets the following wiki username restrictions:
- Usernames must not start with nor end with underscores. (ie, _LameUsername_)
- Usernames must not contain more than one sequential underscore character. (ie, Lame__Username)
- Usernames that meet the above requirements are acceptable. (ie, Awesome_User, John_Doe)
- If your password contains underscores or other interesting characters, you might have trouble logging in. Change your password to something without those characters and try again.
If your forum username does not meet these restrictions, your best bet is to create a secondary forum account. Follow these steps to create a new account:
- Go to the main forums at http://www.puzzlepirates.com/community/mvnforum/index, and click "Log out [your username]".
- On the top bar, click on "Account".
- Fill in the form boxes under "Get yerself on the account", preferably using a username that is the same as your primary pirate's.
- After your account is created, go to http://www.puzzlepirates.com/wiki/index.php?title=Special:Userlogin and log in with your new account.
Take a look at the Style guide for some information about wiki formatting & stuff. There are also some help pages that you can take a look at as well. If you'd find it easier to ask a question on the forum, post it in the Q&A thread at http://www.puzzlepirates.com/community/mvnforum/viewthread?thread=22369.
Wanted Pages
There seems to be 500 "wanted pages" and it seems a little excessive. Can we have a cut off point to try and narrow this down.. for example. Top of the list are pages with 12 links to created pages, while at the bottom are pages with 2 links - so, can we say, any page that has, say, 6 links is deemed truly 'wanted' whereas everything below 6 links can be removed. I dont mind taking this on, which means cleaning of like 300 pages and it will be a massive project, but if it helps i dont mind. Thoughts?? --Minimoses 10:26, 14 October 2006 (PDT)
- The wanted pages page is automatically created by the wiki software. It just records the instances of red links. There is no reason to delink them just to make the wanted pages list shorter. Anything starting with Special: is generated by the software. --Guppymomma 10:37, 14 October 2006 (PDT)
- But thats a lot of wanted pages, be just a case of going through and de-linking them, because im sure a lot of them wouldnt have enough information to make them worthy of a page? Just a thought really --Minimoses 01:51, 15 October 2006 (PDT)
- To be quite honest I find Wanted Paged useles, it doesn't give a real representation of what's needed, BoNB pages come out on top because they are in all the BoNB_Nav templates. --Angelbeaver (talk) 04:30, 15 October 2006 (PDT)

Since this list is automatically generated by the wiki software, and we won't be changing the software, I'd prefer if the Wanted Pages list were left alone, with no delinking to clean it up. There are many more important things that need work right now, to be frank. :) --Eurydice 10:48, 15 October 2006 (PDT)
- Thats understandable. I am just trying to do my little contributions to what i feel is a valued and extremely useful tool. I like working on a set project at a time, and, well, my coding knowledge is not the best, i went through the neutrality pages and hope ive cleaned that up to an acceptable level. I will continue to potter along :P -Minimoses 10:53, 15 October 2006 (PDT)
- The Wanted Pages list also provides a useful focal point for newer editors looking to contribute to the YPPedia. --Featherfin 10:54, 15 October 2006 (PDT)
- The problem is the number of red links doesn't usually relate to the wanted-ness of a page. That was what I was trying to say above. --Angelbeaver (talk) 10:59, 15 October 2006 (PDT)
- I agree that not every page at the top of the list is heavily wanted. Nevertheless, the only way to change the list is to de-link references to those pages, and that's both stylistically wrong and inefficient. --Barrister 12:18, 15 October 2006 (PDT)
- I don't think we should delink, if we had to delink it would just be a sign that we couldn't distinguish between useful/needed articles by ourselves. --Angelbeaver (talk) 12:40, 15 October 2006 (PDT)

Icon image names
I'm going to standardize the file names and make them all start with "Icon." I'm going to guess there are no objections. This is because I plan to upload more icons from the game files to use for the freeplay days grids. --Guppymomma 10:16, 19 October 2006 (PDT)
My...
I know we don't really have consensus on what sort of lists go on pirate pages. While we try to figure out how to make the new infobox, though, some defaults are evolving that may be difficult to standardize in the future, if we don't act quickly to establish guidelines:
- Ships owned, by crew or pirate
- Trophies held
Personally, I think trophies will probably end up in the infobox - one chosen one, like trinkets/pets - along with a link to the pirate's trophy gallery (along with portrait gallery and to-come yoweb page links). In the main text, simple tables seem to work nicely, as seen on Muffynz.
With ships, I'd formatted up a quick solution for a couple pages (see Kait), but haven't made a template because I don't know if we want to encourage ship lists, and in what situations, and I'm getting a little tired of the sunshine background color ;). Thoughts? --AtteSmythe 10:12, 2 November 2006 (PST)
- I've got access to the internet for 5 minutes so I'll leave you with my thoughts: We really don't need any lists on pirate pages, long trophy and/or trinkets along with ships clutter a page and frankly aren't encyclopedic. (How is knowing how many skulls this person has won, along with a picture of each, useful?) I'm in favour of restricting trinkets and trophies to one as trinkets and pets are currently displayed. I also think ship lists aren't useful here, the sheer number of pirate pages (most of which, to be quite honest will only be seen by their editors and creator) is bad enough without lots of table and formatting issues to correct. --Angelbeaver (talk) 10:21, 2 November 2006 (PST)
- With the switch to full yoweb links (as opposed to just portrait galleries) I think the listing of trophies in pirate articles should be discouraged, if not codified as something to be deleted. Just as rank and stat listings are prone to change so are trophies, and allowing partial lists in pirate articles is just asking for the propagation of inaccurate information. I'm more ambivalent about trinkets because it's only possible to display one at a time in the game and because they are mostly a measure of success unlike pets which can all be bought quite simply at the palace.--Fiddler 07:48, 21 December 2006 (PST)
- Along with Pets and Ship lists, I think Trophies should not be listed on Pirate pages. It is difficult enough keeping crew information up to date, let alone additional information, some of which can only be confirmed by the player themself. --Sagacious (talk) 07:54, 21 December 2006 (PST)
- I had some thoughts on this which I left on Fiddler's talk page so I'll just save myself some time and copy the direct message.
- Ahoy there! Normally, I don't quibble over small details but I felt I should speak up a bit on this one. It has always been my understanding that the wiki was intended to be a source of information set apart from the directly linked information of the game. I have always striven to duplicate as much in-game information as possible on the wiki regardless of whether other links to it were readily available or not. In my personal (and possibly, sole) opinion, the removal of the trophy galleries on the pirate pages is counter-productive to that. I realize that the new yoweb links in the pirate profile go straight to the in-game info page and the trophies are one click away but many wiki browsers, myself included up until recently, aren't aware that the links goes to anything more than a portrait gallery anymore. I personally don't think that (a well designed) trophy gallery at the bottom of a pirate page creates any more clutter than a trinket gallery or extra crew portraits or other miscellaneous images that are often included. So I would ask that the option to have a trophy gallery located on a pirate page despite the link to yoweb be reconsidered or just discussed a bit. Thanks for your time! --Muffynz 09:04, 29 December 2006 (PST)
- My feelings on this matter is that Trophies and Vessel lists should not be on the pirate pages, but people should be allowed to post them on their user pages if they feel like it.--Arminius 09:19, 29 December 2006 (PST)

- The problem with trophies in pirate articles is three-fold: 1)For the most part they're not well designed. 2)The vast majority of the lists I removed last night were out of date. Most hadn't been touched in weeks, and as fastidious as a person is in updating the article about their pirate they'll eventually fall behind, forget, or just stop caring. 3)I even found a few instances of people claiming trophies that their pirates didn't have. Added all together there was a lot of poorly presented wrong information.
- I could support a single trophy in the infobox, as a way of showing off to wiki readers your favorite trophy that you had earned, but the complete galleries are too much. I'm more open to trinkets because 1)For the most part they're still a sign of accomplishment (rings and cards and candycanes excepted) and 2)There's no in-game way to display to large numbers your collection. Both pets and ships ans swords and clothes (some more listing trends I've seen lately) fail either one or both of these criteria. I recognize that the players behind the pirate take an ownership view of these articles, however there needs to be balance between the myspace-ification tendencies that some people have and the goal of remaining an encyclopedia.--Fiddler 19:55, 29 December 2006 (PST)
- I agree with Fiddler. I can see a compromise of a single trophy, but that's it. Now that the yoweb links are permitted, we should avoid duplication of information that's 1 or 2 clicks away (depending on if the trophy is one of the 6 displayed on the pirate page). I'm in favor of continuing the exception for a single portrait because I think it has strong aesthetic value. --Barrister 22:44, 29 December 2006 (PST)
Missing main-page subjects
A number of things seem to be missing entirely from the front page, and those are everythign you can get in the game that isn't a house, a ship, or an island. In particular, I don't know how to find the following topics without searching for them: booty (clothes, furniture, swords, mugs, bludgeons, pets, portraits, trinkets, potions, etc.) and trophies. I'd suggest either listing both Booty panel and Trophy under gameplay or adding Trophy to gameplay and an entire new header for the booty stuff. Cedricshock
Sorry ive been banned from game (temp) and the activate your account button on the forums is wrong, how can i get onto them? --Englandking 13:14, 27 November 2006 (PST)
Try again. Maybe you will get unbanned soon enough. Although you said it was temperairy.. So from November 27 2006 - July 25 2007 is a great differance. So you probably are unbanned already! xD Byee♥

Mercades
Inaccuracy?
The current featured article on the main page (Blockade Pay) seems to have an error. The only blockades that happened on Azure were during a brief testing period when the ocean was re-opened (Midnight had been the only open ocean for several months), so saying that Azure and early Midnight blockades were staffed by allies for free doesn't really fit.
- Fixed. Thanks. --Guppymomma 15:12, 18 December 2006 (PST)
Release notes modification
As everybody knows, the game is updated from time to time, which means a new page with information about the modifications occured. In order to get familiar with the changes you must go to Release notes, then List of Releases and then find the latest release (which is usually in the bottom of the whole list of releases) I was just wonder if it is possible to add "Latest Release" to the history section in the main page, so users could get access to the latest releases notes directly without linking through pages. --User:MrNoHelp 11:56, 12 January 2007 (CET)
- There's a Release/latest article which transcludes (and thus appears to require manual updating) the most recent release article. It is near the top right of this category page: Category:History:Releases. This article would be a candidate for linking to from the main page. -- Faulkston 00:17, 14 January 2007 (PST)
Well, I think you hit the Jackpot. The Release/latest article link should be included in the main page under history section. Well, it has to be manually modified, but the game is not updated everyday , it is updated from time to time, so changing the links once a while would not be a neither difficult task nor annoying.--User:MrNoHelp 11:58, 14 January 2007 (CET)
- Done. -- Faulkston 19:18, 14 January 2007 (PST)

Proposed Page - Yppedia:Recent_changes_to_the_wiki
So, I had this idea after watching the formation of the little yoweb links in the Template:Infobox_pirate today. Had I not made those little images and been paying attention to those changes, I would have absolutely no idea what those little pictures linked too until after clicking them. Tiny inconvenience yes but I am all about usability when it comes to the wiki. So, my proposal is this:
User:Pianoman1125/sandbox/recent_changes
A recent changes to the wiki page that lists recently changed policies, templates, large article changes or formatting alterations, and other stuff that can be updated give or take once a week and keep all the important information in one spot. Probably would be good to link said page to the main page so it's right there. Ptg informed me only wiki nerds would use it. As a wiki nerd, I agree; I would use it. And it would be handy. It might solve me taking 4 days to realize there was an actual policy against trophies on pirate pages next time. As someone who is not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to that type of stuff, I would really find it handy. Just a suggestion and would love to hear thoughts. --Muffynz 22:39, 23 January 2007 (PST)
- Obviously you didn't mean Special:Recentchanges but rather a more filtered and useful news section. This would be something like the ocean changelogs, right? Mind you Special:Recentchanges wouldn't be the worst place to start, although it would be far from ideal. -- Faulkston 00:06, 24 January 2007 (PST)
- This would be something like the ocean changelogs, right?
Yes, almost exactly like them but for the wiki. Basically, my sandbox page is what I would think it might look like and the general type of content. Obviously, that's not everything that can be on that page but it is just a draft for right now. --Muffynz 00:31, 24 January 2007 (PST)
- I'd put it somewhere like YPPedia:History. It seems like a useful latest news sort of thing. --Guppymomma 15:10, 29 January 2007 (PST)
- Page is created. I'll take the charge for keeping it updated but anyone feel free to jump in if I get behind. --Muffynz 17:36, 18 February 2007 (PST)
- And after a quick realization that it's likely to be confused for in-game history, I've moved it to YPPedia:News.--Fiddler 18:10, 18 February 2007 (PST)

Featured article
I wonder if maybe it is time for a change to the featured article with the blockade manuevers being very new to anyone that hasn't spent any time on Ice. This would be a great help to those that need help. Cedarwings - January 26, 2007
- We might be pushing it with too many blockade articles, but none the less: draft and its mockup.--Angelbeaver (talk) 17:05, 29 January 2007 (PST)
The current featured article- on the GCCP- is showing severe signs of age: it cites the "upcoming" round of feedback on December 7th. This is referring not to a date 3 weeks hence, but rather to a time 48 weeks past. Given the potential for confusion- and the age of this featured article- perhaps it's time for a change? --Pauling 16:10, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
The ocean merges truly aren't new- perhaps another change could be in order? Scarpath 11:57 19 March, 2017 (MST)

- Something about Obsidian too, now that it's had it official release on Steam. With the ocean merge 6 years ago it truly is time for something new. --Scrappy 10:34, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
- How about Dark Seas as the featured article? -- Faulkston 01:07, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- Oh, that sounds perfect! I hadn't even thought of that :) --Scrappy 10:41, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- Anyone can create a featured article mockup, as long as the format is followed (which you can see on the Main Page itself). The only part of the process requiring administrator intervention is actually putting the final product in place. --Thunderbird 04:13, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- The Dark Seas article Faulkston suggested above looks perfect :) Or is there more that should be included? Happy to help out :) --Scrappy 10:41, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- Just to clarify, there is the article to be featured (Dark Seas), and then there is a short summary paragraph or two which would appear on the main page in the featured article box. To get an idea what to write about a featured article, there is also the featured article archive to look through. -- Faulkston 03:29, 22 August 2018 (UTC)
- Also, that article
ismight be out-of-date. I gave it a few quick tweaks, but someone should go over it more thoroughly...like someone who hasn't been AWOL for a month and a half. /e is worried about having missed things :( --Budclare2 06:06, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

Proposition: New 'Stop!' template
With both the Trophy and List of greeters by language pages using individual tables/templates for warning boxes, would it be useful to create a generic template based on Template:Message_box, similar to that used on the Greeter languages page, with a single message field? --Angelbeaver (talk) 14:17, 29 January 2007 (PST)

Pets on island pages
Useless idea, it requires alot to keep this up to date and does not add any essential, vital information to the wiki. If people need to know the pet names (for whatever reason thet actully would) they could easily vist the island itself. Governers regulary change pets so it would need to be updated regularly. Remove it. --Black beard7 11:33, 19 February 2007 (PST)
- How exactly does this "require alot" of work to keep up? And, following the "[no] essential, vital information" line of reasoning, we should also remove pirate infopages, among others. --KingOfZeal 05:52, 4 March 2007 (PST)
Pirate pages present a bigraphy, history and intresting information about that pirate. Pet names do not add valubale information. I mean its so hard to keep up as islands and pets change more often than your underwear. --Black beard7 10:09, 9 March 2007 (PST)

Current Flotillas?
Granted that there's no real knowledge of how long Flotillas are going to be staying in one place, but has there been any thought to creating a structure of pages similar to the Current Blockade Pages that would feed a box on the main page to list all the Brigand Kings current locations? edit: for the sake of clarity in my examples, I've created the page User:Feegle/Current_Midnight_Flotillas as an example of what a feed page could look like. --Feegle 11:17, 5 June 2007 (PDT)
- The question about doing that kind of a thing is two-fold. How often does it change and will it really be updated by editors? The second question I ask is because we have pages for current blockades for each of the oceans. Blockades are far less often and people already have been remiss in putting them on the current blockade pages. There's also some slightly similiar discussion on Talk:Flotillas on Sage. --Guppymomma 12:11, 5 June 2007 (PDT)
- At the very least, I wouldn't mind keeping it updated for Midnight - provided that they hang around for more than a few hours. Based only on the past week, it seems that it takes several days for the players to drive a BK off, which means that it wouldn't be too much of a burden to update. The problem with blockades at the moment is that people seem to post intent as they're dropping a warchest, meaning that an day after it's added to the wiki, it's over. If you can recruit someone - editor or not - who can update the flotilla page for each ocean every couple of days, then that might work. Re: Flotillas on Sage, looks like that is a historical record rather than a 'current sightings' list. --Feegle 12:51, 5 June 2007 (PDT)
- If you want to give it a go, what I think would work better would be to incorporate it into the Current blockades page(s). Right now there are four boxes on the YPPedia main page and taking into account how lazy people are about scrolling down to see if there's anything new, it'd be best for the info to go into something that's already near the topish part of the page like current blockades. To make the listing shorter, instead of using the BK name written out in text, use the tiny image icons. You can pull the image names off the individual BK pages (if there's no current flotilla for a king, just skip that line instead of leaving it blank). I think they're Flotilla icon BK Name.png. --Guppymomma 13:10, 5 June 2007 (PDT)
- Also, please take a look at User:Fiddler/Art mockup - my current mockup of a new version of the main page. It eliminate current blockades from the main page altogether, mostly because of how little the section was getting used. Nemo has already seen this layout and okay'd it. His only request was integrating event blockades back into the page, possibly in together with events.--Fiddler 13:19, 5 June 2007 (PDT)
- Fiddler: I'd seen your mockup before, but forgotten about it. With blockades gone, there may not be a place for flotillas, true - but note that not every event is being listed in the events block either. Two glaringly absent examples are Apollo's currently-running Brigand Kings contests. Question: Is no one explicitly responsible for the updating of these things? Perhaps someone could be recruited. I'd volunteer, but for the fact that I'm going offline for five weeks at the end of June. I guess my point is that there's little purpose in having ANY current events on the main page, unless there's someone who's regularly responsible for updating them - a la Faulkston in GD. I'm digressing, I know. Guppy: I'll see if I can shrink down the flotilla info on my sandbox page. I promise not to get all offended if after I work on it, it's still not used. --Feegle 05:58, 6 June 2007 (PDT)

Spambot on the Wiki?
Is it me, or do the recent actions of Wwwzhudan give you the impression that it was an automated spam bot used for advertising means? Does wiki software have a built in anti-spam bot device like some of the Phpbb forums do or is this a case of identify, revert, and ban all the bots that show up? Is there any contact we have with the wiki coding software that might be able to provide something? Once one spam bot shows up and is able to post on any forum or publicly editable space, it's usually open season for spam bots across the world to show up. --Muffynz 11:35, 11 June 2007 (PDT)

- I don't follow what you mean by "no redirect capabilities". We have plenty of redirects all over. If those specific ones aren't there and you feel they would be helpful to us and the user community, by all means go ahead and create them. --Muffynz 08:08, 17 August 2007 (PDT)
- And actually the two that you mentioned both exist as redirects. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 08:16, 17 August 2007 (PDT)
- Not to nitpick or anything, but the first one does - the second does not. -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 10:53, 17 August 2007 (PDT)

Making Templates
Can someone guide me on making templates? I intend to make Chocolate Chip Cookies, the trinket. Tharjoe 10:14, 30 August 2007 (PDT)
- That template already exists at Template:My trinkets/Chocolate chip cookies. --Fiddler 12:04, 30 August 2007 (PDT)
- Please read through Howto:Use the My trinkets template, especially the first section where it tells you how to find out what templates have already been done. --Guppymomma 17:47, 30 August 2007 (PDT)
- Ah yes sorry, I haven't really found the Howtos. I'll have a look through a couple of them and I looked around for the Chocolate Chip Cookies and again, didn't find them. Tharjoe 10:18, 31 August 2007 (PDT)
- You could probably also use some reading of the infobox pirate information. The is a single pet & trinket display incorporated into the template as well. Template:Infobox pirate --Guppymomma 11:25, 31 August 2007 (PDT)
- I know, I always prefer to use it seperately, looks much better ^^ Tharjoe 11:06, 1 September 2007 (PDT)

Idea links & Trophies
I don't know about you guys, but I regularly check idea links about game modifications, add ons etc... I was just wondering about adding a link to "Idea Links" to main page. It should be in the Gameplay section since it is neither part of history, community nor terminology. Well what do you think about that guys?
Another issue I want to share is the, in my opinion, frequently view article, Trophy. Unlike Release notes, the contents of the trophy article changes, not the link to it. So, I suggest adding a link to trophy article to the main page. This link should also be in Gameplay, since it is part of the game.

- Idea links articles are associated with the Game Design forum and there's already a link to the forums article under the community grouping on the main page. However trophies, while visible on the screen, aren't actually interactive - see the description of Category:Gameplay. Maybe terminology is a better grouping for it? -- Faulkston 20:56, 1 November 2007 (PDT)
Unprotect current events section
Currently the "Current events" section is protected (cascading from Main Page) from editing, but it was intended to be updateable by everyone in the cummunity. One way around that would be, not including it in the Main Page, and just linking to it. Another solution would be to organize the Main Page like the portal pages; making it a skeleton page including the different parts of the page. This way the cascading protection could be placed onto the parts instead of the Main Page, making it possible to exclude the event part from cascading protection. I did a mockup of this at User:Alfwyn/Sandbox/Main Page (minor change: while I was at it I wikified and closed the table used for page layout). --Alfwyn 13:52, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
Privacy Policy
As I was just clicking the links on the bottom of each page, I noticed that the YPPedia doesn't have a privacy policy. Why exactly is it linked on the bottom of every page? --Addihockey (talk/contribs) 00:13, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not seeing any privacy policy linked at the bottom. Disclaimers isn't a privacy policy, and neither is About YPPedia. The license link goes offsite. --Thunderbird 03:41, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- When I edit the page, it's one of three pages that are linked to in the center, Privacy policy, About YPPedia and Disclaimers. Maybe try logging on in a non-admin account? It might work... --Addihockey (talk/contribs) 03:51, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- You need to use the default skin, PuzzlePirates and not the others. --Guppymomma 04:02, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- Do we want to stick something there, for those of us who prefer a slightly less bandwidth-heavy skin? Even if it's just a link to the general Puzzle Pirates privacy policy? --Belthazar451 04:58, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Featured Article
How often is the featured article supposed to change? I'm somewhat new to the YPPedia, but it seems like its been the article about imperial outposts for at least couple months. Am I maybe misunderstanding the purpose of the featured article? -Phredd94 17:35, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Upgrading
When are we upgrading to MediaWiki 1.16.2 ? Addihockey (talk•contribs) 01:49, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
- /me patiently awaits a reply. Addihockey (talk•contribs) 17:18, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- I wouldn't upgrade to 1.16.2... because 1.16.4 is out, and I wouldn't even upgrade to that, 1.17 will be released soonish. --Lcawte 21:12, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
Java security vulnerabilities
Hi, Oracle has just issued a security alert for all old versions of Java. Anyone using Java must update to version 6 update 26, and uninstall all old versions of the software which could still be targeted by malicious attacks. I have composed a forum post with details about this. I informed Three Rings about the alert and my forum post and suggested they make it a sticky thread, but so far they have declined to do so. Is there a good way we can get the word out here? Add it to the main page, or current events or something? I think it would be important to inform as many players as possible, given that anyone not using automatic updates may be vulnerable, and as linked from my forum post, malware attacks using Java are on the rise. Updates
Someone should update the page on a more frequent basis. As it stands the Front Page, which happens to be the most visited page for this site, has not been updated since May. That is an extreme lack of attention given to it. Someone should actually edit the "Featured Article" more often, for instance. It's been at IOs for months now and no one cares about them anymore. I would suggest a daily, bi-daily or at the least a weekly featured article. The articale would have to do with new realses or an articale that realtes somehow to the date(s) it's up for.
[show] links for boxes
What happened to the [show] links for boxes like trophy information, commodity usage etc.? Now I can't view their contents without looking at the source. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rhoaleper (talk • contribs)
- They are broken since the upgrade about a month ago. For more information see this thread on the forums. --Alfwyn 08:25, 18 August 2011 (PDT)
Ocean Merge
Should the history section include the newly merged Oceans?
- There's no blockade histories to link to as of yet, so there's not much point yet. --Thunderbird 03:55, 3 February 2012 (PST)
- Since the histories are there now, I've gone ahead and linked them in the order that the ocean names appear on the forums. --Thunderbird 17:26, 11 March 2012 (PDT)
Community->Yellow Pages needs to be updated post-merge
The Yellow Pages entry (under Community) needs to be updated, to reflect the new post-merge oceans. Did not see any entry yet on the Talk page about this specific subject, do decided to post this myself. ;-) Thanks. --Franklincain 07:21, 24 May 2012 (PDT)
- Thank you, Fannon, much appreciated. ;-)

- No problem - let me know if you have any other suggestions. --Fannon 11:31, 28 May 2012 (PDT)
Upgrading MediaWiki
Why don't we upgrade to 1.19.1? Who are we needing to contact to do this? --Addihockey (talk•contribs) 05:04, 14 July 2012 (PDT)
- Is there a reason we need to? --Thunderbird 20:03, 15 July 2012 (PDT)
- I imagine that moving images would be nice. Addihockey (talk•contribs) 10:30, 22 July 2013 (PDT)
Mis-named images aren't that big of a problem, and are simple to take care of given what we have.Upgrading the wiki software can only be done by Three Rings themselves and it is not a simple process. --Thunderbird 19:21, 22 July 2013 (PDT)- Scratch part of what I said above, 1.17.0 already has the moving images feature. --Thunderbird 00:07, 27 July 2013 (PDT)
