History
Quetzal Island was originally located on the Hunter Ocean. On a rock, on a skull wall plate next to the shipyard bazaar, the inscription reads, "This island were fashioned by Synful."
Along with Chachapoya Island, Quetzal was one of the two original colonized Hunter islands.
The original buildings were named by Polly of the Midnight Ocean. "Quetzal," a tropical bird, comes from the Nahuatl language, a dialetic indigenous to central Mexico. In reference to Orion, Quetzal is in the place of Rigel (Beta Orionis).
