Matariki Island is an outpost in the Orion Archipelago. There are three known routes from the island: Aimuari Island, Chachapoya Island, and Quetzal Island.

This island spawns iron and tellurium.

History
Matariki Island was originally located on the Hunter Ocean. At the north end of the center of the island, a bowl bears the inscription, "This island were fashioned by Thalatta." East of this, there is a ruined column, which can be viewed at [1]
"Matariki" refers to the Māori mythological name for the Pleiades star cluster, also known as the Seven Sisters. In reference to Orion's belt, Matariki represents Delta Orionois (δ Ori). It also refers to the Māori new year.
