Socrates
Socrates is a pirate on the Sage Ocean. He is currently senior officer and first mate in the crew Crimson Assurance and lord of the flag Spontaneous Combustion.
He is manager at Galilei's Ironworking Stall on Spaniel Island. He owned the now destroyed Moosehead Kegs distillery shoppe on Penobscot Island from May 5th, 2007 to June 16th, 2007.
Contributions and Accomplishments
- Won a sloop by winning Captenyehuda's Swordfight tournament on March 29th 2007.
- Won a navy daisy by finishing 9th in the Bilging Bake-off on February 26th, 2007.
Biography
Socrates first joined the Sage Ocean as a freelance pirate, being a retired captain from the subscriber Cobalt Ocean. Not willing to mingle into crew politics of the ocean, and lacking the financial support of doublon buying, he developed his skills as an independent pirate, wearing rags and fighting with a stick. He was nonetheless recruited into the then uber-talented crew phals by Deanne and Mariss.
There, refusing to be promoted officer, he met and befriended Missdenmark whom he joined in the crew A World Of Fun when the crew was created. Her friendship and support convinced Socrates to accept promotion, and he quickly became senior officer of the crew. After recruiting one of his real-life friend, Galilei, to the game, Socrates participated in A World Of Fun's endavour through flag politics, being successively lord of Muro Ami, lord of Superbus Haliaetos, prince of Allforfun and Funforall, lord of Quixotic Tangent and lord of League of Light.
On March 26th, 2007, he left A World of Fun and League of Light to found a new crew, Crimson Assurance with his best mate Galilei as captain and fellow officers Land, Switzer, Blackbun and Bandanagirl. On April 2nd, 2007, the flag Spontaneous Combustion was founded, where Socrates was named lord and currently administrates the flag forums.
His flag took control of Penobscot Island by winning the Penobscot VI blockade on May 5th, 2007. As Galilei became the island governor, he himself took charge of the Moosehead Kegs distillery shoppe. His short but peaceful run as owner of the distillery ended on June 16th, 2007, as White Knights Of Sage retook control of Penobscot Island in the Penobscot VIII blockade and Starsailor took over as the new manager.
