History

Like many crews Rising Pleasure has gone through its share of transitions. It started out in the pirate world as Eternal Pleasure in February 2006. As the saying goes, nothing lasts forever. So it merged with Echoes of War in April 2007. Regretting the loss of its own identity, it was time for another transition. So, like the some piratey phoenix, it rose again as Rising Pleasure in August 2007. What does the future hold? Who can say, but one thing is for certain, some way, some how, Rising Pleasure will be there.

Public Statement

We are a very close "family", very active in pillaging, striving to improve our pirate abilities. Join us for encouragement and support to help you reach your goals.

Extended Public Statement

Our main goal is to provide a mature atmosphere to play Puzzle Pirates. While young'uns are welcome, as your captain, I have very little tolerance for ill-mannered pirates.

Our strengths lie in smaller ship pillages. This doesn't mean that we won't occasionally take out larger ships. If you enjoy sloop pillaging more than on a larger ship, then this is the crew for you.

If you are looking for training on any pillaging skills, then this is definately a good crew to join.

Crew Articles

  1. Article 1 - Permission to Board (PTB) must be obtained before you hop on any crew ship. Just ask PTB in crew chat the ship name then wait for approval. Sometimes officers have reasons to limit others from coming onboard. You must respect their wishes. Important: If an open invitation is announced in crew chat then no permission is neccessary to board that specific ship; i.e., "Pilly on the Intolerant Hake". People who ask PTB after an open invite is given may not get permission to board simply because the Officer in Charge (OIC) (see Commanding Officer) may not see the request because he/she is busy with readying the ship and assigning stations.
  2. Article 2 - No Lazing When you join a pillage you will be assigned a duty station. You must remain at this station unless the OIC asks you to move to another station. Do not change stations without being asked to. Also, after battle immedately return to station. Lazers will get a -1 booty share. Repeat offenders who must be constantly reminded to get on station will be planked from the ship.
  3. Article 3 - Teaming. Many times the difference between making lots of poe, and only making a little poe, comes down to how well the crew is teaming in brawl. It is crucial that you learn/know how to team. This crew targets cleavers, falchions, skull daggers, and scimitars first; in that order. Team up in teams of 2 or 3; no solos!
  4. Article 4 - Desertion in Battle. If you need to leave, please do it before battle (preferably at a league point), so the OIC can replace you. Failure to do this may cause the crew to lose a brawl. This can result in he loss of thousands of poe (which reduces your booty share) and commodities from the ships hold. Offenders will get a -1 booty share.
  5. Article 5 - Save questions for after the pillage. The OIC and Executive Officer are extremely busy. If you want lots of poe, let them do their jobs without any interuptions.

Unofficial Crew Articles

  • Common Courtesy. No crewbie is to maltreat any other crewmate in any way...if there is anyone watching.
  • Vulgar Language. Watch your language; especially around the poker tables. Pirates have been banned for this. Remember you represent Rising Pleasure; set an example.
  • Thievery. No stealing at all. Offenders will be stripped of all rank, expelled from the crew, and reported to the Ocean Masters (OM's). May they have mercy on your soul; because we sure won't.
