History:
Echoes of War was founded by Supersheep on Viridian ocean, January 9 2007. The captaincy has since passed to Patelephante, and currently resides with Klostro. Echoes of War founded Fading Myths on April 20th, 2007, and is now still running. E.O.W. has since created a new flag on December 5th, 2007 known as Seastrike Legacy.

Our motto is to emphasise the importance of doing the best you can whether that be incredible or poor. Our motto: The more ye sweat in practice, the less ye bleed in battle. And remember, 'Practice makes perfect'!
..::Crew Colours::..
Our crew colours are in place so that we may try and look united. We encourage that our crew members where the colours where ever possible. These colours are Maroon with either Black, Grey or White. You can have something simple or perhaps something a bit more fasionable. Remember the colours are not compulsory and is our choice to wear them.

..::A[h]O[y] A[n]D [w]E[l]C[o]M[e] T[o] E[c]H[o]E[s] O[f] W[a]R::.. A huge welcome to ye from the whole crew; we support the flag of 'Seastrike Legacy', we are very happy with this flag and will reject ur invites, it is up to myself and any other officers to decide on any changes.
We are a crew about having fun and pillaging, working together and getting to the top. But if ye dont want to have fun...then your in the wrong place... We are proud of our crew, thus we are tough and rule bound, (read further for promotion requirements). Whenever out and about, whether at the inn or another pillage, always remember to have respect for everyone.

..::Promotions for Officers::..
While attaining the rank of Officer or higher depends a lot on stats, it also depends on gaining the trust and respect of your superiors. Time spent with the crew is a major consideration. Note: these are FIRM guidelines but guidelines nonetheless. Final say lies with the captain and senior officers. Even though you match the stat requirements you may not be promoted, and vice versa. Please respect the decisions of the SO's when people are promoted who do not seem to match the requirements, and feel free to discuss with the SO's if you feel you deserve a promotion that you have not received.
-1- Understand the meaning of respect and earn the trust of the rest of the crew
-2- Rating of Broad or better in the piracy skills of: Sailing, carpentry, bilging, gunning as well as narrow in swordfighting and rumble.
-3- Also these ratings: respected in gunning aswell as in two of the above skills, and master in the remaining skill

NOTE: any officer or above who leaves a crew and/or ship stranded will first be warned, and then demoted. Restocking is also a priority and lack thereof is a potential reason for warning and then demotion. (unless it be your own vessel in which you may do what you like)
..::Teaming 101::..
What is "teaming?" In a sword fight, the most important strategy for winning is teaming up by putting 2 or 3 dots on each enemy pirate (even if the bnaver max - 0 the opponent, without teaming u can still lose). Every pirate has a dot which corresponds to the color of yer sword. Ye change the position of yer dot by clicking on the rectangle surrounding the head of the enemy pirate (right side of sf screen) ye wish to team. If u solo it isnt efficient and can lead to disaster instas, and if u team with 4 or more on 1 they cheat, again leading to disaster (unless there is no way of teaming with less).
WE CANNOT OVEREMPHASIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF TEAMING. IT IS A MUST!!!
