Byrne Island is a large island located in the Diamond Archipelago. There are three known routes from the island: Alpha Island, Papaya Island, and an inter-archipelago route to Remora Island in the Sapphire Archipelago. There is also an extinct training route encircling the island.
Byrne is home to Sheepish Jimmy, a sheep, and In Memory of Jerze, a cat placed in memoriam of the pirate Jerze.
Natural Resources
This island spawns iron, sincosite, and sugar cane. These resources can be bid on at the market.

History
The island and its buildings are named for Talking Heads frontman David Byrne.
The Byrne Island monument is located south of the tailor bazaar.
Byrne I — 2004-4-29, Tyr's Own won the first blockade of Byrne.
Byrne II — 2004-7-23, The alt flag DOOFIS dropped a war chest on Byrne in an attempt to help the Looterati retain control of Jorvik Island.
Byrne III — 2005-4-23, Tyr's Own defended Byrne from Midnight Armada in three rounds.
Byrne IV — 2007-6-30, Tyr's Own defended Byrne from Avalon in four rounds.
Byrne V — 2007-12-15, Avalon dropped a war chest on Byrne to counter Tyr's Own's drop on Spring. Tyr's Own won both blockades in three rounds.
Byrne VI — 2008-03-15, Spirit of the Game dropped a war chest on Byrne in attempt to distract Tyr's Own from Dies Irae's blockade of Spring. Tyr's Own defended Byrne in 3 rounds.
Byrne VII — 2008-08-03, Tyr's Own defended Byrne from Jinx in 4 rounds.
Byrne VIII — 2008-09-13, Tyr's Own defended Byrne from Broadsiders in 4 rounds.
Byrne IX — 2008-10-05, Tyr's Own defended Byrne from Fleet of his Imperial Scaled Highness in 3 rounds.
Byrne X — 2008-10-25, Tyr's Own defended Byrne from Broadsiders in 3 rounds.
