History
Like many crews Rising Pleasure has gone through its share of transitions. It started out in the pirate world as Eternal Pleasure in February 2006, on the former Viridian Ocean. As the saying goes, nothing lasts forever. So it merged with Echoes of War in April 2007. Regretting the loss of its own identity, it was time for another transition. So, like the some piratey phoenix, it rose again as Rising Pleasure in August 2007. What does the future hold? Who can say, but one thing is for certain, some way, some how, Rising Pleasure will be there.

Public statement
Starting over from another ocean? Welcome!
Extended public statement
Saltyballs has bought us a grandiose crew hall!!!!
All are welcome to play in our crew hall, to access it, just go to Harmattan Island, click on houses, then French Quarters, then enter the Rising Pleasure Grandiose Crew Hall (or click where it says to enter MY crew hall)
We want input. Tell us what furniture and items you'd like added to the hall, and we'll try to accomodate what you want. Please, give us feedback and let us know what you want added.
We understand how hard it can be to start over from another ocean, we'd like to help. No need to wait for your stats to get up, or to buy ships. We have lots of ships and will work with you to help you afford your own ships, swords and bludgeons.
What WE are is a long standing crew that was inactive for a while. We're just now starting to rebuild. Help us get active again, we'll help you find a place on this ocean.
Times are tough, money is tight, lets stick together and survive nicely thru supporting each other.
Crew articles
- Article 1 - Permission to Board (PTB) must be obtained before you hop on any crew ship. Just ask PTB in crew chat the ship name then wait for approval. Sometimes officers have reasons to limit others from coming onboard. You must respect their wishes. Important: If an open invitation is announced in crew chat then no permission is necessary to board that specific ship; i.e., "Pilly on the Intolerant Hake". People who ask PTB after an open invite is given may not get permission to board simply because the Officer in Charge (OIC) may not see the request because he/she is busy with readying the ship and assigning stations.
- Article 2 - No Lazing When you join a pillage you will be assigned a duty station. You must remain at this station unless the OIC asks you to move to another station. Do not change stations without being asked to. Also, after battle immediately return to station. Lazers will get a -1 booty share. Repeat offenders who must be constantly reminded to get on station will be planked from the ship.
- Article 3 - Teaming. Many times the difference between making lots of poe, and only making a little poe, comes down to how well the crew is teaming in brawl. It is crucial that you learn/know how to team. This crew targets cleavers, falchions, skull daggers, and scimitars first; in that order. Team up in teams of 2 or 3; no solos!
- Article 4 - Desertion in Battle. If you need to leave, please do it before battle (preferably at a league point), so the OIC can replace you. Failure to do this may cause the crew to lose a brawl. This can result in he loss of thousands of poe (which reduces your booty share) and commodities from the ships hold. Offenders will get a -1 booty share.
- Article 5 - Save questions for after the pillage. The OIC and Executive Officer are extremely busy. If you want lots of poe, let them do their jobs without any interruptions.
Unofficial Crew Articles
- Common Courtesy: No crewbie is to mistreat any other crewmate in any way... if there is anyone watching.
- Vulgar Language: Watch your language; especially around the poker tables. Pirates have been banned for this. Remember you represent Rising Pleasure; set an example.
- Thievery: No stealing at all. Offenders will be stripped of all rank, expelled from the crew, and reported to the Ocean Masters (OM's). May they have mercy on your soul; because we sure won't.
Promotion requirements
- Pirate: 1) Be distinguished in at least 2 of the following skills; sailing, carpentry, bilging, or gunnery. 2) Take our piratey oath to always ask Permission to Board (PTB). 3) Know how to properly team up in a brawl.
- Officer: If you are currently an officer in another crew, and wish to join this crew as an officer, everything about you will be considered. If your stats are low, you may be asked to go through officer training.
- Fleet officer: For the protection of the crew officers and their ships, no officers will be allowed to join this crew as a fleet officer (FO). Please don't ask. To be an FO you must be a loyal officer and well trusted. We cannot risk trusting strangers. This policy is for the protection of everyone.
- Senior officer: This is reserved for only the most experienced and trustworthy officers. Do not ask for this rank. Promotion to this rank is based solely on the captain's discretion.
