Melanaster Island is a large island located in the Ye Bloody Bounding Main Archipelago. There are four known routes from the island: Dingwall Island, Mitjana Island, Picklepine Ridge, and Woodtick Island.

This island spawns hemp, lily of the valley, and stone. They can be bid on at the fort or market.

History

On July 13, 2018, Melanaster Island was transferred to Jinx, becoming the first large island on Obsidian to be opened for blockade and the third island overall.

On July 14, 2018, Consider it Sunk became the first flag to take control of Melanaster.

On the northwestern side of the island, some small rocks contain an inscription which reads: "This island were fashioned by Yngvild."

Blockades

Melanaster I, 2018-07-14 - Consider it Sunk defeated the Brigand King flag Jinx in a three-round sinking blockade to colonize the island. Guerrilla Warfare was also a contender.

Melanaster II, 2018-07-21 - Guerrilla Warfare defeated Consider it Sunk in a three-round sinking blockade to take control of the island.

Melanaster III, 2018-07-29 - Guerrilla Warfare successfully defended the island from Consider it Sunk. The score was 2-0 when CiS withdrew from the blockade and an OM was petitioned to end the blockade.

Melanaster IV, 2018-08-05 - Guerrilla Warfare lost the island to Consider it Sunk, 0-3.

Melanaster V, 2018-08-11 - Consider it Sunk successfully defended the island from Guerrilla Warfare and Keep the Peace in three rounds.

Melanaster VI, 2018-08-25 - Consider it Sunk successfully defended against an attack by The All-Consuming Flame, 3-1.

Melanaster VII, 2018-09-22 - Consider it Sunk successfully defended against Keep the Peace with a score of three to zero.

Melanaster VIII, 2018-10-13 - Consider it Sunk successfully defended against an attack by Jinx, 3-2.

Melanaster IX, 2018-10-20 - Guerrilla Warfare took the island with a score of 3-0 after Consider it Sunk chose not to defend; Amateur Hour was also a contender.

Melanaster X, 2018-10-28 - Guerrilla Warfare successfully defended against Consider it Sunk with a score of three to zero.

Melanaster XI, 2018-11-04 - Guerrilla Warfare lost to Amateur Hour, 0-3.
