"Gitmo needs an avatar! 500+ doubs" was an event held by Guantanamo on the Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates Forums during August, 2009. Participants in this contest were asked to create avatars for his Puzzle Pirates character, Guantanamo.

Original Instructions

Guantanamo wrote:

"Well, I felt the need for an avatar change, sooo..

A little information about myself; I love to swordfight, sail, rumble carpent and poker. Sometimes all at once. I like computer generated, but cartoony avatars, like my current. I love gold, gold, gold! My look at the moment.

All details are up to you, I will answer additional questions if I think it's necessary."

The closing date for this contest was the 30th of August, 2009.

An additional rule was added later. This was that all work should be the entrants' own. "Any entries submitted that contain work that is not of your own hand will not be eligible for any prizes."
