2016 Holiday events
The 2016 Holiday events began around the middle of December with the release of holiday-themed seasonal trinkets in the palace shoppe, christmas hats, christmas-themed furniture, and limited edition portrait backgrounds.
On the 21st of December 2016, all pirates were turned into ghosts, which started off the main competition.
A Pirate Carol 2: Miser Bash
Pirates on all oceans were divided into three teams, which took their names from major characters in the book A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens - namely, the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Future, and Christmas Yet to Come. Pirates participated by defeating brigands and barbarians while pillaging. The standings for each team were regularly tallied and updated on a special "Competition!" tab of the notice board. The competition ended on January 2nd.
Results
Trophies were awarded to the participating members of each team.
