Gordogato

Gordogato is a Fleet Officer and Scribe of the crew Mice of Vengeance of the flag Trans-Atlantic Empire. He was a sucessful merchant and stall owner in his heyday, and currently makes his home on Cranberry Island in the Midnight Ocean. On his visits to the Hunter Ocean, he lives on Chachapoya Island and remains an independent slacker with no crew or flag.

Autobiography

Gordogato, also known as Gordo for short among his friends, started out as a greenie on Spring Island in February 2005, where he joined the now-defunct crew Looming Doom. As a Looming Doom officer, Gordogato was a member of the flag Imperio prior to and during the Spring IV blockade. After the blockade, Looming Doom briefly switched sides to the flag Avalon, and then disbanded a week or two later. After a week of searching for a new crew, Gordogato joined the Mice of Vengeance in the flag Trans-Atlantic Empire.

Gordogato has owned several stalls in his career:

When Trans-Atlantic Empire held Cranberry Island, Gordogato was the deed holder for the Bed Bats & Beyond furnisher bazaar, which he received from the flag as a prize for coming up with the winning name for the building in a contest. Gordogato also named The Cat's Pajamas, a tailor shoppe located on Cranberry Island.

In October 2005, Gordogato was a runner-up in Bia's Spooky Vignette contest. His prize was a sloop named the Spooky Lanternfish. He was also a frequent participant and occasional honorable mention in Apollo's December Daily Doodles series of contests in December 2005 and 2006, finally winning a contest on December 14, 2006, for his children's song parody, Green Booched Sloop. In March 2006, he won Rome's NCAA March Madness Bracket Contest. In August 2007, Gordogato received an honorable mention (and an engraved, red signet ring) for his story about Vargas the Mad for the Write A Brigand King forum contest.

On October 18, 2006, Gordogato finished memorizing Midnight Ocean, completing his round-the-world voyage at Angelfish Island just after midnight.

Contrary to his name, Gordogato is neither fat, nor fluent in Spanish (Gordo Gato is Spanish meaning Fat Cat). The name comes from the nickname that an acquaintance once gave to his overweight cat.
