  • Was co-founded in the year 2006 on October 24th by Crush and Squirt of the crew Beyond the Sea.
  • Held Paihia Island from September 1 to September 29, 2007, after taking it in an amicable blockade with Bite Me.
  • Held Sayers Rock twice, briefly from March 15 to March 22, 2008 and then again from April 30, 2008 to January 23, 2010 and scuttled the island.
  • Held Saiph Island from April 4, 2009 until March 13, 2010.
  • Held Gallows Island from June 22, 2009 to December 21, 2009 and was then transferred to Total Effin Chaos.

Extended public statement

The East Australian Current (EAC) is a flag dedicated to helping all of its members, from the newest to the more experienced, to have the best pirate experience possible. The flag aims to foster a culture of interaction and support between its crews to build a strong cohesive unit. The flag is involved in all aspects of the game from pillages, flotillas, sea monster hunts, commerce, blockades and politics to social activities, to help its members strive for excellence. Suggestions from all members on how to achieve these aims are encouraged.

Paihia IV, 2007-09-01: EAC took Paihia Island from Bite Me in a three round non-sinking blockade, intended as a transfer.

Paihia V, 2007-09-22: EAC defended Paihia Island from the Brigand King, Barnabas the Pale's flag Chthonic Horde, with an amassed power of 3 in a five round sinking blockade.

Paihia VI, 2007-09-29: YPP - Your Purdy Pimps took the isle of Paihia Island from EAC in a three round non-sinking blockade.

Paihia XII, 2008-02-09: Castigo X successfully defended Paihia Island from EAC in a four round non-sinking blockade.

Sayers IX, 2008-3-15: EAC successfully defeated Brynhild Skullsplitter in a three round sinking Brigand King blockade on Sayers Rock.

Sayers X, 2008-3-22: EAC lost to Beyond the veil in a three round sinking blockade.

Sayers XI, 2008-4-20: EAC lost to Beyond the veil in a five round sinking blockade.

April 29th, 2008: Beyond the veil transferred Sayers Rock to EAC.

Sayers XIV, 2008-5-11: EAC successfully defended Sayers Rock against Gretchen Goldfang with an amassed power of 10 in a four round Brigand King sinking blockade.

Saiph XXIV, 2009-04-04: EAC took control of Saiph Island in a three-round sinking blockade defeating Rebel Rousers.

Saiph XXV, 2009-06-20: EAC defended Saiph Island from the End of dayz, in three rounds. It was a flag sit.

Gallows XX, 2009-06-21: EAC co-defended Gallows Island with Rebel Rousers against The Enlightened with an amassed power of 8 in a three round BK sinking blockade.

June 22nd, 2009: Rebel Rousers transferred Gallows Island to EAC.

Saiph XXVI, 2009-07-19: EAC successfully defended the island in a three-round sinking blockade against Rebel Rousers.

Saiph XXVII, 2009-07-11: EAC successfully defended the island in a three-round non-sinking blockade against Rebel Rousers. Rebel Rousers dropped out after round 2.

Saiph XXVIII, 2009-08-01: EAC successfully defended the island in a three-round non-sinking blockade against Castigo X. This blockade had a pay cap of 500 poe a segment.

Saiph XXIX, 2009-08-29: EAC successfully defended the island in a 3 round sinking blockade. Final Fronts dropped out at the beginning of round 1.

Gallows XXI, 2009-09-05: EAC successfully defended the island in a four-round sinking blockade against Sparta and Saltatio Mortis. Sparta dropped out after round 1. Saltatio Mortis dropped out mid way through round 2.

December 21st, 2009: Gallows Island was transferred to Total Effin Chaos by EAC.

Sayers XV, 2010-01-23: Sayers was Scuttled and EAC did not defend. This forum thread explains it all: [1].

Saiph XXX, 2010-03-13: EAC dropped out after round 3 in a three-round sinking blockade against Illusion.
