Mission
Missions are short tasks that can be taken by pirates from the Notice Board. The missions available depend on a pirate's experience and whether the pirate is carrying PoE.

[hide]At the inn
A pirate must be subscribed (subscription ocean) or have a parlor badge (doubloon oceans) to get the puzzle missions for the days they are not free.
- Win while playing hearts.
- Win while playing spades.
- Win while playing treasure drop.
- Win a swordfighting brawl.
- Win a drinking party.
- Win the first round of a sword fighting tournament.
- Win the first round of a drinking tournament.
At the palace or fort
The Drinking and Rumbling missions are only available if a pirate is able to play the puzzle. There are ten difficulty levels for these missions.
- Win a swordfighting match against a teacher.
- Win a drinking match against a teacher.
- Win a rumbling match against a teacher.
Crafting
On a doubloon ocean, a pirate must have a labor badge for these missions to appear.
- Go to an apothecary and help them by alchemizing.
- Go to a distillery and help them by distilling.
- Go to a shipyard and help them by shipwrighting.
Shopping
A pirate must have PoE on hand for the following missions:
- Go to an iron monger and buy a new sword.
- Go to a tailor and buy some new clothes.
Note: by taking one of the following missions and then canceling it once aboard, you can practice any of the other duty stations above, without restrictions.
- Bilging on a voyage.
- Carpenting on a voyage.
- Sailing on a voyage.
- Gunning on a voyage. (Requires above three to be at Narrow or higher)
Note: A pirate must have at least broad experience in bilge, sail, carp, and gunnery for all advanced navy missions except defeating brigands.
- Navigating on a voyage. (Requires a subscription on subscription oceans or a pirate badge on doubloon oceans.)
- Bilging, sailing, carpenting, or gunning on a voyage.
- Defeating brigands on a voyage. (Requires narrow experience in navigation, a subscription on subscription oceans or a pirate badge on doubloon oceans.)
On the Pollywog
- Learn to Bilge.
- Learn to Carpent.
- Learn to Sail.
- Learn to Swordfight.
- Learn about your items (can only be done once per character).
Miscellaneous
- Defeat the skeletons. (Requires a standing of renowned or higher in sword fighting, an experience level of narrow or higher in sword fighting, 100 poe on hand, a group of skeletons to currently exist somewhere in the ocean, and an item in your booty panel which the skellies can take if you lose the battle)
- Job for a crew
- Claim your inheritance. (This is only available for purchasers of the box edition of the game.)
- Furnish your home. (This is only available once)
