Cursed chalice

From YPPedia

Cursed chalice

The cursed chalice is only available from Cursed Isles.

Decay rate: ? days

The cursed chalice is one of ten mugs used in the Drinking puzzle.

The cursed chalice gives the player the ability to place a piece on a square that is not adjacent to any other piece. The exception to this is the keg piece that must be placed next to a colored piece to establish its color identity on the board. The cursed chalice also gives a +30 point bonus when 'chugging' or 'drinking' a piece, but causes the pirate to become more quickly drunk.

The cursed chalice is only available from Cursed Isles. Before release 2009-02-10, a bug caused the cursed chalice to be found in Atlantis as well.

Drinking out of the Cursed Chalice

There are two options when selecting a cursed chalice, "Equip/Remove" and "Drink"

A cursed chalice has two options, "Equip/Remove" and "Drink". Drinking from the chalice gives a pirate face paint that lasts until log out. The color of paint is determined by the pirate's hair color.

Trying to drink from the mug while already wearing face paint gives the message, "Arr, ye be cursed by dark forces or wearing a strange hat at the moment and may not alter yer appearance!"
