A commodities market is a building usually placed on a colonized island. It can also exist on certain uncolonized islands, as an oasis for pirates stranded far from a port to restock rum and cannon balls. The market harvests the raw materials of the island and offers them for sale to the community through market bidding. It also has a screen which allows a pirate to view the dockside prices at an island without being on a ship. It is generally owned by the governor of an island, and the deed to the building defaults to the governor when governorship changes. Owning a market is largely for show, as the market owner doesn't gain any privileges in the market.
