Thanks for the heads up! I noticed your recent changes and promptly closed my tab that I was editing the page in for fear of mass confusion. --Featherfin 08:37, 12 June 2006 (PDT)
My deeds page!
Hello i am not quite sure what you are doing to me deeds page. I have many paragraphs on it and you simply redirected it to a very small page with barely any text at all. Next time please talk about page before making changes on talk sections. Also, if ye would like to add to my page, please do - just dont redirect it to yours. Thank Ye, 1472000
Re: Deeds page
Sorry about that deed page interfierence, but when i searched for 'deed' or 'deeds' i recieved no result. I will replace the redirect to your page. Thank Ye, 1472000
Broken links (Brigand King page)
Ahoy there! You may want to read the back-and-forth between Barrister and I on this topic. Apparently, they're suppose to be linked, even if the links are broken. *shrugs*. --Rixation(t/c) 11:01, 5 July 2006 (PDT)
Re: Capitals on familiar page
Uniformity for the rest of the oceans tan familiar pages then? They are all currently capitalized, hence my edit. --Rixation(t/c) 11:19, 5 July 2006 (PDT)
Oceans
Just a reminder, when the parameter names are numbers (1,2,3), you don't need to specify the names when invoking the template. {{Oceans|Midnight}} should work just fine. --Barrister 21:15, 10 July 2006 (PDT)
Art categories
At what level should we categorize art pages? Should Art:Portrait Background Contest go in the top-level art category, or should it just remain in an event category alone? More than that, where should things like Art:Pirate Pantheon go? I'd just leave them alone, if not for the fact that they seem to be virtually impossible to find at the moment, except through looking in the prefix index. --Emufarmers 22:37, 10 July 2006 (PDT)
Help!
Hey, I just saw you're on and editing - could you check the pages I've been editing as well for formatting accuracy? I'm not too smart on the whole wiki thing, and you seem to know what you're doing! :) --Lizzie 04:22, 17 July 2006 (PDT)
Thanks :) --Lizzie 06:13, 17 July 2006 (PDT)
The List
I'll give you a hand with switching over that pile of pages for the new ocean categories template thingee this weekend. --Guppymomma 21:01, 20 July 2006 (PDT)
- Oh whoops, I missed the ocean tag thing, didn't I? Sorry about that. --Featherfin 07:29, 21 July 2006 (PDT)
Infobox pirate
It's all in the whitespace. Whitespace at the end of a row doesn't matter, but you get an automatic carriage return just for including a template. This resulted in a double- or triple-CR, which put in between-paragraph spacing. Removing that seems to make it go away. Multiple-familiar winners look a little wonky right now, but I don't think anything's broken. I'll get back to it when I can... --AtteSmythe 10:30, 26 July 2006 (PDT)
No Nose event page
Thanks for the hints :) That was quite weird actually - it wouldn't let me create the page but yet still showed up on the recent changes to make me look silly! :p I realised after trying that the exclamation point was stupid, that'll teach me to copy and paste an event title, lol. Anyway thanks and will definitely check out those pages. :) --Lizzie 07:54, 7 August 2006 (PDT)
BoNB templates
That's really neat, thankyou! I'll get to work on changing it over. --Piplicus 05:07, 8 August 2006 (PDT)
EDIT: What happens when you use the swap=Yes parameter? Do you need to add something different to get the 'swap taken' bit to activate? Or is it the case that the coding for that doesn't exist yet? --Piplicus
Okay, one small snag. You've set it up so that in the End Prize column, the value is always {{{prize}}}. However, when they take the swap (taken=Yes), the end prize should actually be the {{{otherbox}}} value. I tried taking a look at the code, but I can get absolutely nowhere with it. Do you think you can change that around?
Oh, another thing before I forget. taken=Yes doesn't always mean that the box should be red. That only applies when the swap was the wrong thing to do. Week 18 is an example where it was the right thing to do. You may have actually accounted for that fact, but I'm not sure.
Thanks in advance! --Piplicus 09:20, 13 August 2006 (PDT)
Er, hi again! I broke the template again. I managed to understand most of the stuff about default parameters. However, I was trying to tweak the code for the template slightly, and it's thrown the end bit out of synch. Please could you have a look and tell me where I've gone wrong? I get the idea of them, but when I meddle with something big, it always breaks. --Piplicus 20:48, 21 August 2006 (PDT)

Howto pages
Nice work on these. My issue is that the images can sometimes be confusing as to whether some thing is actually an image or just part of the page, if you see what I mean. Would it be possible to add a border or frame to each one? I had a bash at it but I couldn't manage it without messing up the layout. --Angelbeaver (talk) 09:29, 19 August 2006 (PDT)
Pseudo NameSpace
"...pseudo-namespace (probably GCPP:)" Sounds good to me, as long as we have a clear standard. --Jdnx429 20:15, 22 August 2006 (PDT)
GCPP Proposal Category
Should there a separate Category for the the GCPP proposals, possibly named "GCPP Proposal" so that we can go to one page an check them all out? I would do it but I don't want to get ahead of the game. --Jdnx429 16:38, 23 August 2006 (PDT)

I'm seeing a User Contributions link under the name, which doesn't appear for nonexistant accounts (in my experience). --Thunderbird 19:59, 27 August 2006 (PDT)

Grand crafting image}
Ahoy,
Thanks for that, it didn't say that in the thread I read about posting GCPP image, it just said to put:
Grand Crafting Puzzle Project - projectname Image
which I did, but thanks I'll add those to the next lot of images I upload.
Cheers, and fair winds, --Dark viper 00:15, 5 September 2006 (PDT)
I reuploaded the images with names that start with GCPP, as requested. Now, how do I delete the old ones?

Hiding the Unsightlies
It appears that closing open tags at the end of template inclusion is the desired operation of Mediawiki software. There's an extension called HTML tidy (http://tidy.sf.net) that, when enabled, has a bug that causes div tags not to close. See this post on the topic. A Mediawiki mailing list exchange from January of this year suggests that the behavior is a bug, the bug will be fixed, and all the portal code that relies on it will simply have to be rewritten. --AtteSmythe 11:06, 14 September 2006 (PDT)
Hope I've got this in the right spot, never used it before. :) You had left a message about images I'd uploaded and deleting them in 24 hours because they already exist. Could you point me in the right direction as to where they exist because the only ones I could find for many of the trinkets were either wrong coloured single trinkets, or huge compilations of all the different trinkets together. For some reason the trinket template wouldn't work for me at all, the images never came up no matter what I did, so I took the template out and had done it a little differently. Sorry for uploading duplicate images, I have no idea where to find the ones I need though. Thanks for your time :)
Oops on a Talk Page
Thanks for moving my comment. I realized it was on the wrong page and was going to correct it but you beat me to it.--Kgarrett1969 08:00, 5 October 2006 (PDT)
Horned Imp
Look at Princessasha's page on Sage. Although I now agree that it's the same as last year's tricorne, it's listed specifically as a "Horned Imp," rather than a tricorne. I don't know if that's the same as last year. Thanks! ^_^ --Sashamorning 19:37, 18 October 2006 (PDT)

Vandalism
Just to give you a heads up (in case you missed it) I've had to undo a load of blank page vandalism made by Treegoth13. I've warned them on their talk page, but thought I should notify an admin in case no-one had noticed! --Whitemonkey 14:47, 1 November 2006 (PST)
A Question Regarding Templates
While I have read the discussion regarding the Infobox_crew template and understand why it has been decided not to have Fleet Officers and Officers in the main list, a wish by a higher-up in my crew to have such pirates listed led me to add a box for just this matter that could be hidden based on Silverdawg's familiar-hiding section. It's a horrible mess of code and, quite honestly, shouldn't be in an article. I was wondering if templates are open to creation -- I know they are technically, but if it's considered to not be improper form -- by the general editing populous as I think the box created for Moonlit would fit fairly well as a template. --Captain N 19:56, 6 November 2006 (PST)
- Slick! The primary objection to adding the information is less the presentation than the maintenance, though. Personally, I'd rather include a link the the crew's yoweb page, which is automagically updated the moment anything happens in-game. To answer your specific question, though, templates are absolutely open to creation! Templates intended to feed a large number of pages will face some scrutiny, especially for the value of the information they present, but I'm all for unifying the look, feel, and general content of articles through templating. --AtteSmythe 20:36, 6 November 2006 (PST)
- I like it. "I'm all for unifying the look, feel, and general content of articles through templating." I'm still experimenting with the show/hide code but I think the way you're using it can be built into a simple template quite easily. Until we work out some details on direct linking to the yoweb crew pages, make sure to include the "Last updated on" field in your template. Also, the portrait at the top ought to be uploaded under the "Pirates-" prefix, for standardization and future infobox development purposes.--Fiddler 21:47, 6 November 2006 (PST)
- Crews- or Flags- for their portraits? --AtteSmythe 10:16, 7 November 2006 (PST)
- Bah, that was 450 or so edits ago that I did that. I think AtteSmythe's comment on using a Crews- prefix makes more sense, however. "Crews-Moonlit (crew).jpg" is a lot nicer than "Pirates-Jonzo Midnightmoon Eggplant Impossibles Paperweight Newname.jpg" when I need to access it. It's more predictable, too. --Captain N 11:30, 7 November 2006 (PST)
