surPRIZES

During random parts of the main game, every so often there is a break. They may be during a round, during the bidding, or just between rounds. They will happen when Nobooty decides, so do not ask for a surPRIZE, otherwise Nobooty will purposefully push the time back.

Typically, 5 or 6 (or maybe more) boxes of an random color will be on the board. A task will be declared, such as answering a trivia question, or doing something. The winner of the task (which may not actually be the first one to answer) gets to pick a box and win the contents. Occasionally, extra twists may occur, such as gambling the contents of the box or opting for a blind sum of PoE.

Prizes from this section may range from trinkets to clothes to weapons (sword, mug, bludgeon) or even something very rare. Who knows? Probably not even Nobooty knows.

Bidding

After the end of every round, there will be a chance to buy the chosen box from the current player. This is done in two parts:

  • Wave 1

Wave 1 is a test round. When Nobooty says so, you should /tell him how much PoE you would be willing to pay to buy that box. BIDS ARE IN PoE ONLY; ANY OTHER FORMS OF BARTERING TENDER WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

At the end of about 30 seconds, time will be up. The highest bid in that round will be announced and the bidding will proceed to wave 2.

  • Wave 2

The second wave is the actual wave of bidding. Wave one bidding is to help you figure out what other players are going to bid and what you should bid.

Each second wave will have a bidding threshold. Bids that come over this, or very close to it, should be sent in a /pay to Nobooty. Bids under that should still come as a /tell. All /paid bids that were not the top bid WILL be returned.

After the time is up, the highest bid is determined, the offer made to the contestant.Once an offer has been made, the player can do one of two things:

  • Say booty: They receieve the PoE offered, leave the game, and the box passes on to the successful bidder.
  • Say no booty: The game continues as normal

Switcheroo

After the sixth round of bidding, the player currently in the hot seat will be asked if they would like to open one of two special boxes, usually with a name like "Artemis" or "Demeter", or even "Brigands" & "Barbarians" (most commonly something piratey). One invites the player to swap their box for the other remaining one if they wish. The other has no effect.

If the player is allowed the swap and chooses it, they win the contents of the remaining box. Otherwise, they win the contents of the box that was picked at the start of the game.
