The /clear command removes all text from the chat window and chat history up to the point where the command was used, such that all text dating to before the Clear command disappears. It also removes any visible chat bubbles. There are no other effects of running this command.
The command does not affect text stored in chat log files, if chat logging is enabled in the client's options. Additionally, notifications on the Ahoy! panel are not affected.
