The crew panel on the sunshine widget shows several things, depending on your current situation. Some of the following will appear.

Buttons and Lists

A typical crew panel.

If you are jobbing for another crew:

  • An "Info" button for your jobbing crew.
  • A "Leave crew" button for your jobbing crew.
  • A list of members of the jobbing crew, divided between online and offline.

If you are currently a member of a crew:

  • An "Info" button for your crew, which takes you to your crew's info page.
  • An "Issues" button for your crew, which takes you to your crew's issues page.
  • A list of your fellow crew members, divided between online and offline.
  • An issues button for your crew, which takes you to the news and issues page.

If you are not a member of a crew, but have sufficient experience to create one:

  • A button you can use to make your own crew.

If you are not a member of a crew and lack the experience to create one:

  • A message explaining the requirements to start a crew. This can vary by ocean.

If you have hearties:

  • A list of your hearties, divided between online and offline.

As with all sunshine panels, your PoE (and, if applicable, doubloon) total is displayed at the bottom.

Actions

On your jobbing crew list, if you have one, you can click on a pirate and:

  • Get pirate info - Pull up the pirates's info page.
  • Tell - Same as the /tell command, which sends a private message to the pirate.
  • Mute - Same as the /mute command. You will no longer be able to receive chat from that pirate.

On your crew list, officers and above can click on a pirate and take certain action. Unless you are captain of an autocratic crew, some of these actions will go through voting first. The actions are:

  • Get pirate info - See above.
  • Tell - See above.
  • Mute - See above.
  • Assign rank - You may use this to promote or demote a fellow crew member, but this action must be voted on. This cannot be used on a jobbing pirate.
  • Assign title - Use this to give a pirate a title. You can only use this on crew members with a rank lower than your own, and this cannot be used on a jobbing pirate.
  • Expel - Boots the crew member from the crew, but this action must be voted upon. This action becomes "Dismiss Jobber" when used on a jobbing pirate.

On your hearty list, you can click on a pirate and:

  • Tell - See above.
  • Get pirate info - See above.
  • Invite to job for crew - Same as the /job command.
  • Invite to enter building - Same as the /invite command.
  • Remove as your hearty - Removes the hearty from your hearty list.

Historical Notes

Before the hearty list was introduced with release 2003-12-13, it did not show up on the crew panel.

Your money total was added to the bottom of the crew panel with release 2005-03-28.

The expandable area for offline crewmates was added with release 2005-02-11.

The crew buttons (info, issues, and leave crew) were moved to the top of the crew area with release 2004-11-22.
