Intro

Ahoy. So you want to find out how to play Booty or No Booty? Well you're at the right place! This is an all ocean event, and it is runned by Nobooty. To make the Booty or No Booty event happen faster and smoother, there are some rules and guidelines that should both participants and spectators should follow.

Behaviour

Once you enter the house please don't:

Spam
Swear or avoid chat filters
Harass or insult other players
Shout
Walk on stage (Unless Nobooty tells you to)
Try to hearty/trade/challenge everyone
Annoy Nobooty by sending /tells
Fake bid (which means not having the money on you that bidded)
Slow down or disrupt the game
Act rude, be gross or act like an idiot

Once you enter the house please:

Be polite
Use /house instead of /speak
Please keep talking to a minimum

If you happen to break one of these rules expect to be planked and banned from playing in any other episodes of Booty or Nobooty.

This is a fun, and friendly game so please be kind to everyone. Good grammar, politeness, and a sense of humour are encouraged and will not go unnoticed.

Before It All Starts

Over the weeks before the day of Booty or No Booty there will be several contests that will be giving out golden tickets.

This is a Golden Ticket.

Also on the day of Booty or No Booty there will be some contests to win one. If you happen to get your hands on one you can get a chance to win the hotseat.

One hour before the game starts, an Oceanmaster or oceanmaster alt will send out a /broadcast across the ocean. This will typically point out when it is starting, and what can be won. On the more heavily-populated oceans, a location will NOT be given. To enter the event simply go to these locations:

Midnight:Thousand Caves of Doriath, Islay of Luthien
Cobalt:Estate of Intoxication, Kirin Island
Viridian:Sin City, Olive Island
Sage:The Great Estate, Admiral Island
Hunter:Tortilla Villas,Chachapoya Island

The host of the event is Nobooty.

Remember though, the event doesn't start until an hour after the broadcast. While you are in the house, you are expected to follow the behaviour rules. While you are waiting, go entertain yourself. Play Hearts or Swordfighting.

Between 5 and 15 minutes before the scheduled event time, a golden ticket might be given out. Nobooty won't be telling how or when, so please don't ask!

Golden Tickets - The chance for the Hotseat

At the start of the show, Nobooty will ask for golden tickets. If you have a golden ticket, you can trade him and wait patiently as he has other people to recieve golden tickets from. Your golden ticket will only count if it has your name on it, or doesn't have anyone else's name on it.After five minutes, those who have submitted a ticket will be invited to the other side of the garden, where a number of boxes have been setup.(If Nobooty tells you only the people who gave him a golden ticket can be there, please don't stand there). One by one, each person who submitted one will get to pick a box and keep it. (A player can have one box for every ticket he submits). Once all the boxes have been given out, you may open it and check what is inside. This is what could be in your box:

Bid ticket	You have not won, but you now have a bid ticket	Nothing
Greeting card	If it says to shout 'BOOTY', you will be in the hot seat	Shout 'Booty' when Nobooty says so.
Greeting card	If it says that you've won a refund, you get a refund	Wait until Nobooty asks for you to shout 'NO BOOTY!', and then wait until Nobooty trade requests you for the card in exchange for another golden ticket.
Other gift	You haven't won, but enjoy your consolation prize!	It depends. Listen to what Nobooty says.

If you have the Winning greeting card, please wait until Nobooty says that you can shout.

How It Works

Here is the list of prizes that could be won. From the tan bandana with the lowest value and the familiar with the hightest value.

Booty or No Booty (Short form is BoNB) is mainly a game where only one person can win a prize but, there are other chances to win something, so listen carefully to Nobooty.(See surPRIZES)

That lucky pirate who won the hotseat, gets to pick one of the 22 boxes and that will become the player's box. It will be put aside and it will probably be the box that someone walks away with. Nobody know what's in those boxes, so are you feeling lucky?

After, the pirate will eliminate 5 boxes and whatever is in them. (For example: If the pirate chose box 15 and when he/she opened it was a skull furniture, the skull furniture will no longer be able to get.) Please don't shout out what box the pirate should choose. It's his/her choice.

After all 5 boxes are open, spectators are allowed to bid on the player's box (this was the box that the player chose at the beginning). (See Bidding)

At the end of the bidding, the highest bidder will get a chance at the player's box and everyone else who /pay their bid to Nobooty will get it back. Now this is where the big question comes in, BOOTY OR NO BOOTY?

If the player chooses:

No Booty: The game carries on.

Booty: The player in the hotseat gets the offer and the bidder takes over the hotseat.

Please do not fake bid. This means not having the money you bid on your prate at the moment. This will get you planked and bannedfrom any future episodes of Booty or No Booty.Please bring all the money you wish to bid with at the beggining of the game. Nobooty will lock the doors after some time so you won't be allowed to come back in the house if you leave.

After the beginging bid, there will be 5 more rounds of bidding, each eliminating 3 boxes at a time, giving you a chance to win that box!

Bidding

There are 2 waves of bidding.

1st wave: Spectators will /tell 'No Booty' (when he says so) the highest amount of PoE he/she is willing to pay for the contestants box. This is not the actual bid. This will just show how much other pirates are willing to pay.

2nd wave: This is the real bid. Nobooty will set a bidding threshold.(This is an amount of PoE).If you bid over the bidding threshold, /pay you bid to No Booty. If it is under, send a /tell to Nobooty how much you are willing to pay.

*Please bid in PoE. Dubloons, ships, clothing, and any other kind of barter will not be accepted.*

surPRIZES

Sometimes breaks are taken for a few minutes and there might be a chance for a surPRIZE. They will happen when Nobooty decides, so do not request for one, otherwise Nobooty might not do that many.

Some boxes of an unrelated colour will be on the stage. Nobooty might ask you to answer a trivia question, or do something. The winner of the task gets to pick a box and win the contents. Occasionally, extra twists may occur, such as gambling the contents of the box or opting for a sum of cash.

Prizes from this section may range from trinkets to clothes to weapons or even something very rare. Who knows?

The Switcheroo

After the sixth round of bidding, the player currently in the hot seat will be asked to open one of two special boxes, usually named in some sort of theme such as: "Ketchup" and "Mustard" or "Dog" and "Cat". If the player wants to, they could swap their box for one of the two boxes if they wish. The other box has no effect. If the player wants to do the swap, they win the contents that box. Otherwise, they win the contents of the box that was picked right at the start of the game.
