Would the devs and OMs care to have this article point to seperate articles for each one of you, or would you prefer to have it point directly to your user pages?--Fiddler 20 July 2005 16:10 (PDT)

Changed the links, see note in History --Guppymomma 23 July 2005 07:57 (PDT)

Following up on a PM sent to me by Barrister: What kind of information do people want to see about the various OMs? --Eurydice 19:42, 28 August 2005 (PDT)

A/S/L? Heheh, just joking.  :) Uhm, maybe things that the various OM's are in charge of and oceans they're most likely to cover? Info about your familiars would be cute. Hades has some trivia on his page. For Castor, any info at all would work. --Guppymomma 19:50, 28 August 2005 (PDT)
I'd like some text that helps distinguish the OMs from one another. A little personality, as it were. :-) --Barrister 20:16, 28 August 2005 (PDT)
Sounds good. I'll first direct the other OMs here and ask them to put up their own info. For those that don't...they're at my mercy! BWAHA! --Eurydice 21:33, 28 August 2005 (PDT)
I think including the language templates on your OM pages might not be a bad idea. It'd give some players a better sense of somebody official they can contact in their own language.--Fiddler 20:21, 28 August 2005 (PDT)
That's true...but I know that people have been trying (and failing, might I add) to guess my s3kr1t identity by looking at the languages on my page. Other OMs may or may not have identifying languages that they'd rather not put there. Also, some of us just speak a smattering of other languages and would be too timid to do anything official in them. --Eurydice 21:33, 28 August 2005 (PDT)
Could also upload your forum avatar (and whenever image reuploading works properly it can be changed if you change it on the forum) as part of the info. Just name the file something like Avatar_OMname. --Guppymomma 13:32, 29 August 2005 (PDT)

New OM

From the Announcements forum on the main forums, Apollo has joined the OM crew. However, I'm not certain if I should put him under Ye Fresh Hands, or a different (possibly new) category. --Thunderbird 08:19, 3 October 2005 (PDT)

Hee hee! I really like "Ye Fresher Hands." --Eurydice 16:26, 3 October 2005 (PDT)
  • snerk* Hehehe I do too. :) --Guppymomma 18:12, 3 October 2005 (PDT)
Could be worse, you could be 'Pre-owned'! --Calliope 04:32, 4 March 2015 (PST)

Contact Info

Maybe some explanation as to how to get in contact with an OM, especially if you're involved in a glitch; no way to hit the 'petition' button. They tend to have auto-responses on, too, which is understandable but also occasionally unfortunate. Is there an IRC channel or live help somewhere? If so, maybe it could go on this page.- Fdsfgfs 16:28, 27 March 2007 (PDT)

Not happening. The OMs get pestered enough as it is. -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 16:37, 27 March 2007 (PDT)
That would be when you post in the Technical Issues forum. --Guppymomma 16:39, 27 March 2007 (PDT)

Recent revert

I reverted the changes I saw a bit earlier because I'd rather not have names added to this list without a formal announcement. For all we know, new greek names could simply be the alt of an existing OM. --Thunderbird 01:00, 27 March 2008 (PDT)

And the announcement they did make, well, see for yourself -- Vorky 18:38, 1 April 2008 (PDT)
While the announcement is still forthcoming, Gaea, Galene, and Hera are the new OMs. --Eurydice 18:45, 1 April 2008 (PDT)
I think that's official enough for them to be added to that page, especially since they already have Yppedia pirate pages. -- Vorky 21:02, 1 April 2008 (PDT)

Names and greek mythology

I think I liked the "named after Greek mythological figures" best. Endymion for example is neither a god nor a titan. Mnemosyne isn't really a goddess, but a titaness, so the original "named after Greek gods and goddesses" wasn't ideal either. And I'm not even sure how to classify a Muse (Thalia) or Castor who was originally mortal. --Alfwyn 23:34, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
