Talk:Midnight familiars

From YPPedia

I'm not even going to try to fix this, but Saniyah is the opposite colours that the image shows. Head and wingtips are black, and body is orange. --Feegle 20:15, 5 November 2005 (PST)

First: Congrats, matey! Glad to see the Silver Poet with a badge for his accomplishments. Second: Couple places to fix it, but it depends on whether your parrot is the only one affected or not. Anyone hazard a guess? --AtteSmythe 09:12, 7 November 2005 (PST)
Someone already fixed it. The entry had just been made with the colors in the wrong order. --Guppymomma 10:46, 7 November 2005 (PST)

I don't know how you guys deal with color-changing. Do you want the familiar to show the color it is NOW or the color it was when it was WON? In particular the ginger monkey won by punishment is now red.Trick44 21:46, 23 November 2005 (PST)

I've been putting a NB: note for it. Don't know if that's official or not. But thanks for updating us =) --Piplicus 10:08, 24 November 2005 (PST)

Quix's Familar is Moneybags III. It was given to her for exchange of a shop on Alpha. It was recolored to be marron/black. The other one that is listed in there was last known to be held by Nuroticfish.

Question: Should the "owner" field for familiars on "semi-permanent loan" be updated to the current holder? --Looseweed 12:00 6/14/06 (EST)

In this case, I'd say go ahead and update it, Loose. ;) --AtteSmythe 09:50, 14 June 2006 (PDT)

Note regarding "moneybags (June 5, 2004 )." This familiar was purchased by PotD in 2004 and was renamed PoePoe. At some point Thanos painted it purple/purple.--Rome 10:43, 22 June 2006 (PDT)

ok but it was NOT purchased by Thanos. He was not even the biggest contributor to the pot. It was purchased by a group of senior officers for the use of the crew.----
My bad. I recall reading about him doing the purchasing, but that's probably my hazy memory; I was still new then.--Fiddler 17:30, 22 June 2006 (PDT)

Names

Some of the familiar names really interest me. Would it be appropiate for me to go around and ask familiar owners why they named their shoulder friends what they did, to add that information under Notes? It's fun flavour, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who's found himself wondering "Handsey? Boots? Gary?" --Ponytailguy 18:41, 13 August 2006 (PDT)

March 2008 familiars

I did screenshots of the TD and SF parrots from the tournament board, and naming them head/body they were violet/lavender and yellow/mint. I switched the colors for the other tournaments too, assuming they were also body/head named. --Alfwyn 09:08, 25 March 2008 (PDT)
