Talk:Brigand

Primary Poe Source
As far as I know, Brigands are the only way to make money directly from the game. All others must come from other players, in one form or another. Ergo, pillaging may possible be the most important form of income in the game!
- Not quite the only way, but yes, probably the most common. Other PoE fountains include skellies, the navy, wagers from NPPs, and the profit from selling gems. – Yaten talk 06:29, 13 August 2005 (PDT)
Mention of Chainsaw Brigands
Are "chainsaw" brigands important enough to mention in this article? It seems to me like it might be, but I'd like to see what others think (as always).--Zyborg22 18:57, 31 January 2006 (PST)
Ocean payout levels
Over on the Navy page, there is a listing of what the payout is for each ocean.
Has anyone attempted to determine the per-ocean payouts of brigands?
In other words, if you attack green brigands with known SB levels, what do you see from brigands?
Given the changes that will be coming (with Sea Battle going bye-bye), we'd need to get some base ratings in before the change if we want to have any hope of comparing it after the change. --Behindcurtai 01:40, 1 March 2006 (PST)
Barbarian redirect?
Shouldn't barbarians have their own page, instead of redirecting here? ~Remalle
- There's little difference between the two (only the boarding puzzle differs), so they were merged. And I'm going to guess that computer controlled ships will always be referred to as brigands, unless people are explicitly saying what they are. --Thunderbird 12:50, 7 June 2006 (PDT)
Brigand battle screenshot
I have made a screen-shot of the battle navigation phase with a brigand, it only needs adding to the page now.

More Specific Differences
Shouldn't more specific differences be included it this page? Such as, Krakens blood is always easier to find on imperials, or charts are more likley to come from a fight with barbarians than with brigands...? (Fignet) (Hunter) 15:30 18th April 2009 (GMT)
- These are only speculation, especially the charts bit. The bit on Kraken's blood, if proven, would belong on the KB page anyhow. --Thunderbird 17:14, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Need a new one here, because the caption says "sometimes pursuit is automatic" except, in the screenshot, the brigand is the one doing the engaging, not the player's auto-targeting. --Thunderbird 09:02, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
