Link-to's?

Okay, backgrounds are now uploaded and organized by puzzle type. I've updated the Brigand King page to link to back this, but do we want to link all of the other puzzle pages back to here as well? If so, as an "other" link at the bottom of each page, or...? --Rixation 08:17, 11 April 2006 (PDT)

If the links scrolled to right part that would work nicely. --Sagacious 08:49, 11 April 2006 (PDT)

Cool!

Just noticed this page and wanted to say kudos to Rixation for creating it. --Guppymomma 09:53, 19 April 2006 (PDT)

Portraits added

I think this is quite a bit cleaner than the existing Portrait background page, but feel free to revert it if there needs to be 2 separate pages. --Rixation 08:23, 21 April 2006 (PDT)

Looks pretty good. I'll probably make some minor tweaks at a later date, but I like it. --Barrister 09:14, 21 April 2006 (PDT)

New two-pirate portrait background?

Last release notes said there was a new two-pirate portrait background named Clear Skies. Been trying to find the image to upload but seems i'm looking in the wrong places. Really would like to see how it looks like. Maybe someone can look into it. --Cecidrake 21:53, 11 August 2006 (PDT)

We've got a request in for Nemo to upload it so it should be added hopefully after the weekend when they're back in the office. --Guppymomma 21:55, 11 August 2006 (PDT)

New Ice single portrait

Should the single portrait background on the free Ice portrait be uploaded here? --Kinocha 14:28, 11 October 2006 (PDT)

I think so, if a copy of it without any pirate infront can be found. --Angelbeaver (talk) 14:29, 11 October 2006 (PDT)
Is it a player created background? If not, then I can put in a request for Nemo or whomever to upload a copy. We wouldn't add it to this page until it went live on the production oceans though. --Guppymomma 15:58, 11 October 2006 (PDT)

Permission to reorder?

I daresay that most if not all of the people who come to this page are looking for portrait backgrounds, not puzzle backgrounds. Permission to reorder so the portrait backgrounds are at the top? --Ponytailguy 17:27, 16 October 2006 (PDT)

Silence as consent? --Ponytailguy 15:36, 20 October 2006 (PDT)
Yeah, sounds good to me.--Fiddler 19:36, 20 October 2006 (PDT)

Jack O' Lantern

The Jack O' Lantern is available for use again. Should it be uploaded here? --Kinocha 05:35, 26 October 2006 (PDT)

We've put in a request with the Arrrrrtist staff for the pumpkin and bloody seas ones. --Guppymomma 07:37, 26 October 2006 (PDT)

Portrait Backgrounds

So, do we generally just need to wait for the arrrtists to send us the new portrait background as they're all kept server side or was there a means of getting them that I missed? --Muffynz 19:04, 14 June 2007 (PDT)

They're selected from the contest which is here on the wiki. I was just waiting for confirmation of which version it was. Done. --Guppymomma 19:11, 14 June 2007 (PDT)
Ah thank you, somewhere in my head I did know that. --Muffynz 19:15, 14 June 2007 (PDT)

All new backgrounds

I've refreshed the backgrounds for most of the piracy and crafting puzzles. Apparently when Opal was released, the backgrounds had the titles removed from the top, and that text is now added based on the language of the ocean you're on. The only exception I've found is Treasure Drop. Should there be a note via asterisk regarding that? Also added carp (since it has an actual background.png now instead of a small repeated tile), and the new blacksmithing puzzle. --Rixation(t/c) 17:06, 3 July 2007 (PDT)

You could probably add a little historical note in a History section or something like that. I don't think the TD background needs a special note if there's a historical note section. --Guppymomma 18:17, 3 July 2007 (PDT)
The note made is actually incorrect. For a good 6 months after the release of Opal, we actually had full copies of all the backgrounds for each language with the translated title up top. While working on Treasure Haul, that practice came into full light, and shortly thereafter, we fixed up all old backgrounds to use the new, svelte method. --Cephalopod 20:29, 31 August 2007 (PDT)

Adventure Islands

Are we adding the background for them? If so, Mrinvisible already has one for comfermation. --Instazap 19:25, 18 June 2008 (PDT)

Oh yeah, forgot about that one. The trick is to find the background art without a pirate in the way. --Belthazar451 19:43, 18 June 2008 (PDT)
I'll put in a request to get Nemesis to find a dev to upload it. --Guppymomma 20:53, 18 June 2008 (PDT)
Any word on this? --Belthazar451 00:49, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
There they are. Add away. --Guppymomma 18:03, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Done. I think. =) --Belthazar451 21:38, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Swordfighting

Should we put the old swordfighting background in there? --Wendy20 20:50, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

I think we should - for history's sake, lol - "Retired swordfighting background" =). Or we could just link to the file and put something like "Prior to (date) the background looked like this..." Adrielle =) 00:42, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
