Puzzling forever, three years and counting!
Extended Public Statement
We be a longtime crew, looking to rebuild our numbers with active pirates. Interested in joining our fine crew? Talk to one of our officers, and they'll be happy to get ye signed up! When ye start with us, ye'll start as a pirate, unless the captain knows ye well enough to rank ye higher. Patience goes further with us than ability to puzzle, so if ye lack patience, ye may want to look elsewhere. We pillage, we trade, we carouse & craft, and we've even been known to go on an occasional adventure. More information about our crew can be found in our private statement.
Some basic rules:
- Feel like swearing in chat? Don't be a barrelstopper; keep it filtered, mate!
- Have respect for those around ye, whether they be a part of the crew or not.
- When jobbing with another crew, behave as if ye were with yer crew, as ye represent us as well as yerself.
- Officers can propose promotions & demotions, but the captain & senior staff have the final say.
Crew ideology
An enigma is a puzzle or riddle, very fitting for YPP. Eternal, meaning "without end", represents the crew's desire to continue without end.
Eternal Enigma's mission is to have fun and be fun to be around, whether the fun is being out on a crew pillage on the Sage Ocean, taking part in blockades or flag pillages with flag mates, working in crew & flag shoppes (or stalls), or sitting down to a friendly game of cards.
Crew Rules & Expectations
- Keep the language clean. If you feel the need to swear for whatever reason, let the filters get it, DO NOT purposely avoid them.
- Be respectful. Treat those higher than you nicely, they have earned their ranks. Treat those lower than you nicely, you were a greenie once too. (This includes greenies on pillies, at inns, on islands, etc. ... we treat everyone nicely.)
- When jobbing, act as if you were with your crew. We want to send out a good image to other crews, and being good jobbers is a good way to do that.
- Promotions and demotions are handled by the Captain first and foremost, but all other officers have the right to propose promotions & demotions.

Other promotion requirements are listed under the crew's Private Statement, and exceptions are allowed.

Noteworthy Achievements
30 January 2008 -
- Three crew members aboard the sloop "Uninhibited Sprat" ventured into the Forbidding Outpost, marking the first time that the crew ran a voyage to Atlantis.
26 January 2008 -
- Eternal Enigma was ranked 38th on the crew fame list, their highest ranking to date.
25 January 2008 -
- The crew reached the top 40 crews for the first time when they were ranked at 40th on the crew fame list.
24 January 2008 -
- Eternal Enigma swapped positions with fellow flag crew Gaia's Guardians on the crew fame list at 47th & 48th, respectively, making Eternal Enigma the top ranked crew in Honor Above All.
23 January 2008 -
- The crew was ranked 48th on the crew fame list, the first time that Eternal Enigma had been ranked in the top 50 crews.
21 January 2008 -
- Eternal Enigma regained their "Eminent" fame & was ranked 57th, despite losing their "Dread Pirates" crew rank three days before, marking the first time the crew was ranked on the crew fame list while with Honor Above All.
31 December 2007 -
- The crew rank rose to "Dread Pirates," while the crew's fame remained at "Celebrated" for the previous two weeks.
12 December 2007 -
- Eternal Enigma was ranked 56th on the crew fame list, their highest ranking while with Notorious.
11 December 2007 -
- The crew was ranked 63rd on the crew fame list, having reached "Eminent" status for the first time the day prior.
9 December 2007 -
- Eternal Enigma's crew rank increased to "Blaggards." During this day, a pillage aboard the longship "Annoying Tigerfish" netted some Kraken's blood, as well as coral gems.
16 November 2007 -
- After going a full week without a PvP battle, the crew rank was elevated to "Scoundrels" when the sloop "Absent Mackerel" with a full compliment of seven aboard successfully defended themselves from a shorthanded cutter dubbed the "Passionate Gar" of the crew "wolves of the waves."
7 November 2007 -
- The crew rank reached the status of "Scurvy Dogs" and their fame climbed to "Celebrated" after the fully-manned sloop "Absent Mackerel" attacked and defeated Defenders of Truth's undermanned war brig, the "Flexible Sild."
4 November 2007 -
- Six pirates aboard the sloop "Absent Mackerel" successfully defended and sunk "Poseidon's Warriors'" sloop "Reserved Hake" during wartime between the flags Notorious & Passive Aggression; the Hake had attacked with a crew of four. This sinking was the first notch for Eternal Enigma.
