Category talk:Game images
I'm guessing this page needs to have a gallery feature added (for the images, which technically aren't classified under "articles", to appear), which can probably only be done by an administrator. – Yaten talk 22 July 2005 07:12 (PDT)
The images in the old category
I've managed to figure out how to force the images in the old category (Game Images) to move over here, by simply bumping all of them. So I've been doing that (I notice the changes aren't showing up, for some weird reason...probably a good thing because there are 200+ images that need to be moved). I'm leaving the old name Sage island images where they are for now, as I've got a gut feeling that they'll be deleted eventually. --Thunderbird 19:47, 15 October 2005 (PDT)
New summary tags
I'm embarking on a (hopefully) short project to recategorize most of the images and clean up this category. Brainstorming with Guppy recently, we came up with (and I'll shortly design templates for): "Island images," "Object images," "Portrait images," "Puzzle images," "Interface images," "Commodity images," "Scene images." You can check through the image list and see if something else can easily be categorized that I missed. – Yaten talk 20:46, 26 October 2005 (PDT)
- I believe that there are screenshots of pirates that aren't from the portraits, and I will soon upload the images of in-game pirates with masks on. Shouldn't these images have their own category?--Zyborg22 17:54, 27 October 2005 (PDT)
- What should be done with the images of the forum icons? Would they go under interface? Furthermore, where would the star chart icons go?--Zyborg22 19:08, 27 October 2005 (PDT)
- I'm guessing some images don't need to be categorized more specifically then {{ooo image}} (Usage), such as the chart star icons. The forum icons are either based on in-game icons, so probably "Puzzle images," or mvnForum-drawn icons, which fall under the GNU license. – Yaten talk 19:21, 27 October 2005 (PDT)
What should be done about the images that are made for Puzzle Pirates and/or are using Puzzle Pirates artwork, but aren't actually in the game itself? It just seems odd to classify images like the Pirate Party 2005 logo or the cover of the Box Edition of the game as "in-game images".--Zyborg22 17:17, 12 March 2006 (PST)
- Perhaps we could just make a Three Rings tag for the nongame items? Or just switch the description of this category to say that it's in game or game related images by Three Rings. --Guppymomma 17:48, 12 March 2006 (PST)
- Something like 'This image may be included in or is related to the game Puzzle Pirates by Three Rings' --Sagacious 17:55, 12 March 2006 (PST)
Trophy sub cat
With an ever-increasing number of trophies would their own image sub category be a good idea? --Angelbeaver (talk) 11:11, 8 October 2006 (PDT)
- Sure. --Guppymomma 12:43, 8 October 2006 (PDT)
Category sorting
I've removed the "*" sorting from the sub-categories. With so few images in the top level, the sub-categories now show up on the first (and only) page. --Barrister 04:38, 20 October 2006 (PDT)
