What The Falchion is a flag on the Cobalt Ocean. It was founded on November 26, 2005.

A Falchion is a medieval one-handed blade combining the weight and power of an axe with the versatility of a sword.
If'n yer looking for a weighty and powerful flag, ye've found us! We are a major player in ocean politics, island owning and blockading.
If'n yer looking for something a bit different, we also have Pillagers who sail the length and breadth of the ocean searching for Brigands and Barbarians laden with booty, Traders keeping an eye out for bargains, and Merchants selling everything from yer first sword to that black and gold outfit ye've been keeping yer eye on!
Even if yer fairly new to the game and aren't quite sure what you're looking for, never fear! We have a Young Falchioners crew full of people willing to show you the ropes until ye find yer feet.

History
What The Falchion was created by The Burning Legion after departing from The Art of War. Soon after its creation, Gentleman was voted in as the first monarch of the flag, and Blackdragon as first royalty. When Gentleman announced his resignation, Epsaltos joined the Royalty ranks.
It was at this point a vote was made not to install a new monarch, and subsiquently; there has never been another monarch in power.
While in preperations for islands opening in the Onyx Archipalego the flags structure changed upon a merger with Rumination.
February 25th, 2006
What The Falchion successfully gained control of Fintan Island after an uncontested blockade. Epsaltos automatically became the first governor and created the fort, Falchionated Throne. A few days later, Mousht took control of Governership and remained in control for a year, completing the majority of the building layout.
March 1st, 2006
Saw the start of a great 2 week war against Indestructible Fury which What The Falchion won 15-13. It has been said, that this was the longest real war on Cobalt Ocean between two of the biggest flags.

What The Falchion attacked and successfully won Terra Island, defending it successfully on August 12th.

What The Falchion attacked and successfully won Conglin Island, giving it away in a very successful event with a total of 14 participating flags on February 18th, 2007. Dark Asylum won the event.

What The Falchion attacked and successfully won Ansel Island in a highly contested sinking blockade.
March 11th, 2007
What The Falchion attacked and successfully won Viridis Island in a fairly contested blockade. Also giving it away on a very successful event with a total of 12 participating flags on April 15th, 2007. Walk The Plank won the event.
May 20th - June 9th, 2007
What The Falchion continuesly actively helped on setting defenses as part of Choose your own island "opening" event until Garden Cradle was colonized.

What the Falchion drops on Napi Peak again, the Blockade is Non-Sinking and they lose again. Fintan is also attacked, and What the Falchion loses it to Static Before the Storm.
