What if there are two pirates with the same name but are on different oceans?

My main pirate is Scapegoat on Viridian. I would like to make a pirate page for myself, but I am unable to following the guidelines provided in the wiki, i.e. just searching for the pirate name. The Scapegoat that comes up is the one on Hunter and Sage, who is a man, not a woman, like me. I would some help please on how I can make a pirate page for myself without messing up a link to his/my page.

Ahoy! What is needed for that is a disambiguation page. First, move the existing article to Scapegoat (Hunter) or Scapegoat (Sage), whichever seems more appropriate. Now go into the Scapegoat article, which should now be a simple redirect (click links to get to it as needed), and set it up like the Cold Steel page. Then create your new article under Scapegoat (Viridian). Then you need to go back to the disambiguation page and change all links to it to point to the appropriate new article. Of course, there was a discussion here as to whether this is really appropriate - it reached no conclusion, so basically, do whichever of the two methods you like more :). -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 21:34, 12 May 2007 (PDT)
I understand that a disambiguation page is needed, but I am still basically a greenie when it comes to editing pages in the wiki. :/ So I do not feel like I should be changing links, for fear I would mess up links or basically anything, including redirecting. --Bfsrules
Don't worry, if you mess up, someone else will come along and fix it and probably leave you a note telling you what was wrong and how to do it better next time ;-) The alternative to moving the original article, is as mentioned in discussion TheFirstdude linked too, is to create the new article and just add a reference to the existing article pointing to the new one as per the example off Cleaver-- Vorky 16:36, 13 May 2007 (PDT)

We can definitively elp you out with any of these, as long as you know your password (and DO NOT give it out to anyone!). Also, please sign any messages or comments on the wiki with --~~~~. Awaiting your reply. --Arminius 12:43, 19 May 2007 (PDT)
