Messages to users

Messages to users need to go on their user talk page. Not on article talk pages. Article talk pages are used to discuss the content of that particular article. --Guppymomma 07:07, 2 November 2007 (PDT)

Infoboxes

Also note that there are different infoboxes for different types of pages. The {{infobox user}} (Usage) is for user pages. For pirate pages in the main namespace, you should be using {{infobox pirate}} (Usage). --Guppymomma 07:11, 2 November 2007 (PDT)

Trophy Spoilers

Please do not upload trophies to the YPPedia unless they have been found in-game. As they have not yet legitimately been mentioned in this thread, and you did not provide proof that they appeared on someone's trophy page, I am led to believe that you falsely uploaded them.

This is a violation of the spoiler policy. Please do not re-upload them until someone has won them. --Piplicus 08:06, 2 November 2007 (PDT)

Image tags

Ahoy! Please remember to tag portrait images with with the {{portrait image}} tag as you upload them.

Thanks! --Piplicus 08:52, 2 November 2007 (PDT)

Links in articles

When an article is marked for cleaned for adding links to other articles, typically this is meant to not create a whole bunch of wanted links. Also, it is only necessary to link to an article once in an article. The article Bloody Crabs that you made changes to has now been fixed. It is also important to check the proper spelling of the crew name in game when you have the title of an article not matching how it is spelt within the article. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 10:29, 2 November 2007 (PDT)

Proposed deletion

Just because a pirate no longer exists on an ocean is not a valid reason to delete the article. Your proposed deletion was reverted. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 10:44, 2 November 2007 (PDT)

Patience

Please have a read through the Yppedia:Editors' Code of Conduct. It talks about how your should be patient with other editors, especially new ones and NOT jump on their edits. Please wait 15 minutes from when an editor finishes an edit to the time that you begin editing their work. It can be very disheartening to receive an edit conflict message while editing your new page. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 11:59, 2 November 2007 (PDT)
