collaboration request
Ahoy there muffy, I was working on the start fer a flash tutorial fer me bilging guide, when me crew members suggested; why not make a general tutorial?
So what I'm asking is if ye could : contact the authors of the other guides or anyone else with a big knowledge and skill who is willing to make a few screen video's and some explanation and if possible help a bit yourself, it's just a proposal, I'm not going to be mad if you can nay help.
I'll work on the flash part, or if someone else could help along it would be nice :)
hope to get a response soon.
Featured article contest template
Ahoy! I think I have a workable solution for my problem. I made a very small change to the template which doesn't change the way it works now, but allows for what I wanted. It is here. Hope it doesn't change anything as far as you're concerned. Thanks! -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 09:38, 20 June 2007 (PDT)
- Erm. I remembered what you said about Whatlinkshere. Would you mind if I just added my changes to the "real" template? -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 13:01, 20 June 2007 (PDT)
- Mhmmm.... the point was that nothing extra needs doing if people don't want to... heck, don't even need to tell people about it.-- Thefirstdude (t/c) 20:41, 20 June 2007 (PDT)
RfA deletion
Ahoy, Muffynz! I see that you deleted Av's RfA. Although the RfA was indeed incomplete and incorrectly done, RfAs are a big enough deal that there should be some deliberation before deleting active ones that have not yet been voted upon, etc. Even failed RfAs don't get deleted; they get moved. --Eurydice 08:54, 28 June 2007 (PDT)
Blockade entry
I see what you're trying to do with strength counts. You may need to use the {{ifdef}} (Usage) template. Take a look at {{Infobox crew}} (Usage) to see how it's used. --Fiddler 21:56, 2 July 2007 (PDT)
- Want me to take a crack at it? --Fiddler 22:13, 2 July 2007 (PDT)
- Looks good. I'd perhaps put the strength on a new line, but other than that it looks good. --Fiddler 22:35, 2 July 2007 (PDT)
Re: Needed Trinket Images
Ahoy! I found a yellow orchid with card that is in one of my display cases. I can upload it later or you can grab it yourself. It is currently in Cedarwing's Furnishing Stall on Dragon's Nest on the Cobalt Ocean. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 08:27, 9 August 2007 (PDT)
- I just added a purple lily with card, navy daisies with card, and red roses with card. Although I guess you don't need the red roses. They are in the same place. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 22:43, 9 August 2007 (PDT)
Congrats!
Let us know if you have any questions and try not to use your powers for evil ;) --Guppymomma 11:32, 15 August 2007 (PDT)
- Yay! I didn't get a chance to vote, but it would have been a resounding yes. (Don't know who I am? Neither do I, it's no problem.) --Bishopk 19:16, 15 August 2007 (PDT)
Brigand Floatilla Tracker
I was wondering if these would be placed on the other Brigand King pages, as I do like to find them on Viridian. Thanks! --Kiefer329 15:35, 16 August 2007 (PDT)
Featured article voting stuff
It would probably make it even easier to just list the month's entries that are up for vote on the talk page as well. The link to the voting post wasn't updated until I just did it now. I doubt anyone would vandalize it. If there are issues with that later, you can use a protected template. --Guppymomma 19:01, 30 August 2007 (PDT)
Atlantis run
Just noticed this template today. Good idea and looks good but before I go and adjust anything about it I wanted to see if there were reasons behind things that raised some flags for me. First thing was the image of the ship as when I first played around with it I put in a sloop and the image looked very strange. Looking at the template I discovered the image size is being forced to 150px which works for the WF as it is 151px wide and not very noticeable with the GF at 177px but the sloop is only 77px and is basically being doubled when it appears. Any reason you were forcing the images to this size? The other thing I thought might be a good idea is to add the template usage notes to the AEAx pages similar to the way they are added for the Current blockades pages. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 23:05, 15 September 2007 (PDT)
- I didn't think the size thing was a big issue but I know sometimes people either leave them there by accident or have other plans that weren't implimented at first. With new templates I don't usually like to jump right in and mess around too much. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 23:50, 15 September 2007 (PDT)
- Ahoy! I just had a minor nit to pick with the template. It wasn't restricted in width, so to see the ship type, I had to look all the way to the other side of the screen. Equally, to read the text at the bottom, I had to read across the entire screen. So, the solution: I put it all in a div 45em wide, as seen here (example, the template itself). :-) -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 07:59, 22 September 2007 (PDT)
- I like the idea and I see your concern. My personal opinion is that what your template is set on right now (40em) is just a smidge too small at that size. I previewed a change to 50em and liked what I saw. It still cuts down on the width of the template without crowding the image right into the side of the text if someone has an exceptionally long navver name. -- Muffynz(t/c) 10:30, 22 September 2007 (PDT)

Atlantean clamshell
Take a look at how this was handled on Template:My trinkets/Starfish. Until the Ringers let us know if Atlantean is the only new color they'll be introducing, I say we stick with the 18 naming scheme.--Fiddler 23:01, 28 September 2007 (PDT)
- No worries. Also, I realize it's late for you, so I'll just chalk up the spelling mistake to that.--Fiddler 23:06, 28 September 2007 (PDT)
Portal:Puzzles
Just a quick note - based on what Nemesis talked about I figured it would be better to talk about each type of puzzle as opposed to each one independently. --Fiddler 02:22, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Midnight building list
Hey! I was thinking about helping out on this one because i clearly have too much time on my hands and wish to contribute to the game. One thing though I was wondering was how you go about finding the information for the buildings. You contact the current owner and managers and fill up on the hystory or do you have a data source I could be pointed towards?
Thank ye --Viprince 08:10, 23 December 2008 (UTC)Viprince

Hello, I got your name from a prior RfC where you commented, and thought you would be interested in this one. It's a relatively minor point, whether to restrict standard-named vessels from crew and flag articles like personal pirate pages. You can find it at YPPedia talk:Policies and guidelines#Bullet list of Ships on Crew/Flag pages. Thanks for your attention. Chupchup 00:43, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
about your Pirate...
Ref.: "Muffynz may be found running a sloop pillage in Ruby"... I presume the "Ruby" you refer to in your pirate's article would be the archipelago of that name. If correct, I believe an embedded link would be helpful to others like me (i.e.: having thick lenses in their eyeglasses); would you mind if I were to make this slight update to your pirate's article? -- Franklincain (t/c) 12:56, 7 September 2012 (PDT)
