Just a head's up; artists have to manually add themselves to the Avatar artists directory. If their avatars are correctly tagged, the images are sorted, by artist name, in Category:Avatar artists.--Fiddler 11:54, 1 January 2007 (PST)

Prop Del

A word in your ear: there are very few circumstances under which you should propose a page for deletion where you shouldn't also inform the creator why you've done it, especially if the author is a new editor. It saves everyone time and frustration down the road if the authors know what was wrong with it (i.e: how to not have their stuff deleted in future, or what they were doing wrong) Fair winds! --Ponytailguy 16:06, 9 January 2007 (PST)

CSD vs. Prop Del

Additionally, it's important to distinguish between CSD (candidate for speedy deletion) and prop del (proposed deletion). We investigate every article before we delete it either way, but applying CSD to pages like Finalhazard's Rumbling Strategies just takes up administrator time and discourages discussion to save a page which is actually quite salvageable. CSD should really only be used for pages that are just nonsense ("AABBCCDD", "James is a %$^#&$^*^%*", "hi lol") and images that clearly violate policy. When in doubt, please propose deletion (proposed deletion and proposed deletion because (reason)) instead of slapping speedy delete on it. --Ponytailguy 16:15, 9 January 2007 (PST)
