Island .RAW file instructions
If you look in c:\program files\Three Rings Design\Puzzle Pirates\rsrc\OCEAN\bundles\islands, you'll find a bunch of directories labled "Isle-XX-vYYY". Each of these contains a file "img.raw". That's the file I need. It's only generated when you visit the island. So:
- Log out of puzzle pirates
- Go to c:\program files\Three Rings Design\Puzzle Pirates\rsrc\OCEAN\bundles\islands, and delete everything there. Do this at your own risk.
- Leaving that folder open, start the game.
- You should log in at the last island on which you logged off. When the minimap loads (it'll take longer than usual, since it needs to build the image), look at the folder. You should see that two files and a folder are now in there. If you go in the folder, you'll see img.raw.
- Go back to the islands\ folder, where you deleted everything.
- Whisk to an island that's still listed below
- When the folder is created, copy it somewhere.
- When you've done as many or as few as you care to, zip up those folders and get 'em to me somehow. I'll convert.
Update: I no longer need island name/number matches. I found the URL to query island info from the server given a number.
- Cool, can I upload the zip here? --Markozeta 10:55, 17 August 2005 (PDT)
- If you don't have webspace, I'd prefer it if you'd email it to me (email in my forum profile) - I'd rather not use the wiki filesystem, as it'll keep that file around forever (even after deletion, IIRC) --AtteSmythe 11:05, 17 August 2005 (PDT)
- Just wondering, how do you convert? --Pevarnj 14:24, 29 December 2005 (PST)
- Ahoy, mate! I wrote a converter plugin for GIMP; see User:AtteSmythe/yppRAW. If you're considering trying your hand at it, there's a minor incompatibility with the most recent version of GIMP: They include their own .RAW filter! You have to disable the default one by renaming or deleting before yppRAW will load properly. --AtteSmythe 14:39, 29 December 2005 (PST)

REupdate: I need the island name/number matches again. The URL is now disabled for uncolonized islands, so there's no way for me to verify the island's name.
- There's a possible workaround, but only for Cobalt/Viridian/Sage. The crew info pages, located at
http://(ocean).puzzlepirates.com/yoweb/crew/info.wm?crewid=5000001
- are in the same order. Carmine Navy, crew #1, is also island #1. For Sage, it's slightly harder, but we'll just have to be diligent in recording the name of the island when renaming .raw files. For Midnight, we can probably figure out which island it is from the screenshot (or at least, I think I could). – Yaten talk 09:17, 22 August 2005 (PDT)
- Aye. But I'm not planning on keeping up with the geography of other oceans, and I have to name the file something to upload it. Uploading it as "Veridian Island 87.png" and relying on a mod to rename it seems silly. --AtteSmythe
- When whisks are available on Sage, I'll see if I can figure out the numbering scheme to make sure it's the same as when we originally looked all the stuff up before the fixed the hole :) --Guppymomma 09:36, 22 August 2005 (PDT)
- I see that the crew id is also enabled for flags. Is there a way to use it for individual pirates? --pevarnj (t/c) 06:07, 12 January 2006 (PST)
- The last time we asked the devs about it on the forum, it was requested that those url's not be linked to directly from the wiki due to potential load issues. --Guppymomma 06:53, 12 January 2006 (PST)
- What do you mean by that? Not be linked to directly. --pevarnj (t/c) 13:23, 12 January 2006 (PST)
- As in don't link to them. --Guppymomma 13:24, 12 January 2006 (PST)

Cobalt Files
Cobalt is Finished! Sorry it took so long, but thanks for all your help. It wouldn't be done without you. --AtteSmythe
Viridian Files
Viridian is done - Someone got Labyrinth moors, presumably with a screenshot from the docks. Willing to convert a raw image, if anyone's still interested.
Sage Files
Needed
Everything.
Notes
Can someone verify that the numbers of the islands remain in alphabetical order per arch?
- Only some of them do weirdly enough. I'm still working on the list to find out which ones do and which don't. My kingdom for a whisk...--Guppymomma 09:08, 26 August 2005 (PDT)
I've got a partial list from when Sage first opened. I had to stop almost at the end as my wife got home and we were running late for dinner.--Fiddler 09:24, 26 August 2005 (PDT)
Outdated infobox work
Correct me if I'm mistaken, but since the wiki has only existed since July 2005, shouldn't we only need outdated templates from that point forward?--Fiddler 14:00, 6 January 2006 (PST)
- Heh. Yeah, I was confusing crew creation dates with update dates in my late-workday-swiss-cheese-head. I'll move 'em. --AtteSmythe 14:02, 6 January 2006 (PST)
Letters from Clio
Can you do me a favor and take a look at some of the images Clio is uploading. Neither Guppymomma nor myself can see them and we want to see if that's affecting anyone else.--Fiddler 12:01, 19 January 2006 (PST)
- Sure. I'll look at 'em after I finish updating these newly-broken flag pages. You may want to protect Template:Infobox flag, like Template:Infobox crew has been. --AtteSmythe 12:03, 19 January 2006 (PST)
Infobox fixes
No problem. :) Templates are rather a mystery to me, so I was thrilled once I figured out how to fix that problem. I really like the outdated crew/flag pages, and I want them to work properly. --Zava 09:31, 25 January 2006 (PST)
