Episodes of Booty or No Booty often run into a couple of hours, and therefore there are a few rules and guidelines for all participants and audience members to observe. Following these guidelines will help ensure the event runs smoothly.

Behaviour and Etiquette
By entering the BoNB house, you agree not to do the following things:
- Swear
- Spam, including but not limited to:
- Pestering Nobooty with /tells;
- Inviting anyone and everyone to be your hearty;
- Asking audience members to job in a blockade;
- Dockpressing
- Shout
- Harass people
- Walk onto the stage (an enclosed area surrounded by presents. This area is for the participant and Nobooty only)
- Fake bid during the bidding rounds (bid what you aren't willing to risk)
- Disrupt the flow of the game significantly
- Be grossly disrespectful, or otherwise
- Act like an idiot
If you break any of these rules, expect to get planked and banned from future BoNB events.
Simply put, be nice and polite and Nobooty will welcome you with open arms, and maybe pockets besides.
Please use /house as it doesn't create distracting speech bubbles.
Overview
One hour before
There will be an ocean broadcast by an Oceanmaster announcing the event. The broadcast will announce this link, the prizes, and where to go to participate. Remember though that it doesn't start for another hour, and that as soon as you enter the house you are bound by the rules and guidelines.
The events take place in the following locations:
- Midnight: Thousand Caves of Doriath, Islay of Luthien
- Cobalt: Estate of Intoxication, Kirin Island
- Viridian: Sin City, Olive Island
- Sage: The Great Estate, Admiral Island
- Hunter: Tortilla Villas, Chachapoya Island
Just before the event
Golden ticket are awarded in various competitions over the five oceans, as well as through the forums. Anyone in possession of a golden ticket is eligible to take part in the golden ticket lottery (Note: Your golden ticket must have either your name on it, or no name on it.)
Trade your ticket to Nobooty and wait patiently for him to get to you. You may submit more than one ticket, and then choose more than one box. After all the tickets being redeemed have been collected by Nobooty, those who have handed a ticket over will be invited to the other side of the garden to choose a box. Each box contains further instructions (see table below) and when they have all been given out, players may open it.

Whoever has the greeting card telling them to shout 'Booty!' is the first contestant and will be invited into the enclosed area by Nobooty. Everyone else is now a member of the audience (if they choose to stay) and may wait to play for a surPRIZE or attempt to bid the first contestant out and take over themselves.
The game itself
Game order

- 3 more boxes chosen. This will leave just two numbered boxes (including the contestants box and one other)
- Possible switcheroo and then the final box will be opened.
Interspersed with the elimination of boxes will be several surPRIZEs. However, don't ask Nobooty to speed up a surPRIZE round as he will always push the time back!
Preliminary choosing
The lucky first contestant will pick a number from 1-22 and will then get to hold on to that box until the end of the game. After introducing themselves, the contestant will begin to pick boxes and eliminate them from being awarded. The main idea at this point is to eliminate the lower value prizes, in order to increase the perceived chance of there being a high-value prize in the contestant's box.
The game follows the same principles as the original televised game show, except for the audience replacing the banker by placing secret bids in special bidding rounds.

There are two sets of boxes in the game area. One set of boxes numbered 1-22 which are traded to the contestant after each guess to be eliminated, and a set of boxes with the names of the prizes as their tag. The second set of boxes are moved to the side of the garden in the order they are eliminated. This is for the audience to see the progression of the elimination.
Bidding
There are 5 rounds of bidding involved in the game, any of which is an opportunity for an audience member to buy their way into the contestant's hot seat.
- First Wave: When Nobooty announces a bidding round, there will be 30 seconds for a gauging round, in which a rough estimate of the value of the contestant's box will be ascertained. From this round, Nobooty will choose a bidding threshold for the second wave. Audience members must /tell Nobooty their bid in PoE only. Ship deeds, commodities, dubloons etc, will not be accepted.
- Second Wave: Nobooty will announce the highest bid from the first wave, and there will be another round of bidding. The bidding threshold determined by the first wave comes into effect in this round. Anyone bidding over that threshold will have to /pay Nobooty their bid. Bidders will receive their PoE back if their bid is unsuccessful.
The highest bid from the second wave becomes the bid for the box (akin to the banker's offer in the television show) and the contestant must choose to either 'booty' (deal) or 'no booty' (no deal).
If the bid is successful, the bidder becomes the new contestant; if the bidder is unsuccessful the original contestant carries on eliminating boxes.
Switcheroo
After the fifth round of bidding, the player currently in the hot seat will be asked to open one of two special boxes, usually named aptly, such as "Artemis" & "Demeter", or even "Jelly" & "Jam". One invites the player to swap their box for the other remaining one if they wish. The other has no effect.
If the player is allowed the swap and chooses it, they win the contents of the remaining box. Otherwise, they win the contents of the box that was picked right at the start of the game.
SurPRIZEs
Don't worry if you don't have a golden ticket or enough PoE to tempt the contestant!
During certain parts of the main game, occasional "intermissions" are taken for a few minutes. They may be during a round, during the bidding, or just between rounds. They will happen when Nobooty decides, so do not request a surPRIZE, otherwise Nobooty will purposefully push the time back.
A mini-task or trivia question will be asked, and Nobooty will either ask the audience to /tell him or to say the answer in house chat. Past questions have involved asking the audience to estimate the total of the bids passed in every episode of BoNB, as well as asking who won certain golden ticket events.
Don't worry if you're not a quick typer, sometimes Nobooty will announce that, for example, the fourth person to give the correct answer will get the chance to choose a surPRIZE.
