The witch-trial of Artemis
The witch-trial of Artemis was an event in June of 2004 that took place both in the game and on the forums.
The Beginning
Events began on the 29th of May when Ninjaguy accused Artemis of being a witch[1] after she magicked up Fine Sail Cloth, which is an uncraftable item.
Winter II
On June 2nd Artemis, now queen of the flag Brew Works, declared a blockade against Midnight Armada and Winter Solstice, an island that she had ruled as governor for Vilya in the time before blockades.[2] The blockade ended after round three with the capture of Artemis.[3]
The Trial
On June 7th a trial was convened to hear evidence against Artemis.[4] Ninjaguy and Rubyspoon were the prosecutors, Oneiropoios and Vallaugh tok up the mantle of the defense, Nemo stood as trial judge, and all attendess were invited to participate on the jury. The trial ended when Nemo asked all those who thought Artemis guilty to leave the ship, thus tricking all of her supporters to abandon her.

Counter-accusation
During the mad rush of events, it was speculated that Nemo himself may have been a witch, and was so quick to point to Artemis in order to deflect suspicion from himself.[5] While the accusations flew freely, nothing ever came from this line of the story.
