Flags and Bases
I understand the theory behind Capture the Flag. Could you provide more description as to what you consider the "flags" to be? And are islands or league points the "bases"?--Hedgehog2005 07:29, 24 January 2006 (PST)
The Flags would be some kind of good that can be pillaged. We could use paints, minerals, herbs, whatever, as long as they are unique to each team. We would have to run with a mostly empty ship to ensure that the flags were captured when a battle is lost, or find a way to work around the possibility of something not transfering. That would eliminate someone over stocking there ship. We would also have to be sure to sell only the specific flag at the palace or market. Im not sure how that can be worked out either. Thanks for the comment, i now have some other things to figure out. They should be easy fixes. Also a base would be any market or palace island. That would give the ships a place to go to and sell the item. This will ease any issues of judging and so forth. Once the item is sold to the home base palace or market, the team whose flag has been removed from play is out.
- There's no item, even if it's the only one on a ship (which would be difficulty given the need for shot and rum) that can be guaranteed to be transferred in a PVP loss.
If that is the case, then we must have a point system, because this could take all day, Dont you think?

- Even if one team eliminates all but, the ultimately will not win if they do not protect there own flag as well.

- Adjusted the verbage. Someone will ultimately be the last one standing. If two teams are left and they both have the opposing flag, it comes down to the first one to drop the flag at home base.
