Talk:Bakers Union
<Irrelevant comment> What I find hillarious is that "Bakers' Union" isn't one of the names. </Irrelevant comment> Gail 09:55, 11 July 2006 (PDT)
Combined Listing for Flags with multiple Names
In the process of updating the crews of Viridian I came across this entry for the flags Bakers Union and Chocolate. At first it caused me some confusion as I was double checking the information for the flag on viridian and because I'm using the html pages I was looking up Ajax to get to the crew and flag pages. What I discovered was the on Viridian the "Bake-off" flag is Chocolate which was not listed on the category for viridian ocean flags but Bakers Union was. Bakers Union as far as I know does not actually exist on Viridian.
I have updated the Chocolate redirect page to at least force Chocolate onto the list of Viridian Ocean Flags, however that leaves the listing for Bakers Union on that list and at least in my mind it should not be.
My question is how would it be best to clear up the confusion in the flag names? Should the entry be separated so each flag has it's own entry which would correct all the category listing issues? Is there a way to prevent a page from being listing in a category automatically or is there a way to force a listing into the category page under a completely different name. Maybe I'm just a purist for wanting to have everything show up in the proper categories even if everything redirects back to a single page. :-P --Kgarrett1969 06:14, 24 October 2006 (PDT)
- I just had another thought. If the entries for the flags are separated each flag's page could have a (See also) section linking in all the related flag pages. --Kgarrett1969 06:18, 24 October 2006 (PDT)
- Considering the article for all of them combined makes most stubs look long I think three would be rather unnecessary. --Angelbeaver (talk) 15:35, 24 October 2006 (PDT)
- I'm not sure there's an actual good reason to separate them as they're all event flags run by the same OM pile. There isn't a whole lot more info to give beyond that and having them on one page gives folks the ability to see that it's across the oceans at one glance. --Guppymomma 15:45, 24 October 2006 (PDT)
