Seekers Veritas is a crew that sails on the Sage Ocean.

History

The crew was originally created by Silverfur, while she was briefly out of Hardcore Sea Ravers, for a friend who had planned to start a flag and wanted a floating crew. The friend never started his flag and the crew was never really used. The original name of the crew was Comin' for Ya but was changed when the purpose of the crew changed. In mid-June of 2007, Doyce was made captain of the newly renamed crew.

-- Crew Rules for Everyone --

  1. Ask for permission to board ships at sea by typing /cr PTB <insert ship name>, then wait for a response but give them time as they may be busy or in battle. If you are asked to leave of ship in port, please do so. Reasons why we have this rule can be found at Ptb.
  2. Please go to a station quickly when on a ship, especially at sea. If you are asked or ordered to move to a different station, please do so quickly.
  3. When grappled during a sea battle and you enter a melee(either sword fight or rumble), you will be asked to team. Simple teaming instructions - In a melee your opponent(s) is on the right side of the screen. The colored dots by the mini puzzle show how many are attacking that person, normal dots represent one person each and big, solid orange dots represent five people each. The person you are fighting will have a white outline around their mini puzzle. To change who you are fighting, click on the puzzle of the opponent you want to attack. Listen to the officer-in-charge for how many on each. For more details on teaming, read this page.
  4. Please respect ALL crew members and jobbers. Begging, whining, spamming, abuse, offensive language, and leaving during battle are all considered disrespectful. Doing so can, and likely will, result in planking, dismisal from the crew, expulsion from the crew, and/or demotion. Repeated disrespect will result in expulsion and possibly black listing.
  5. Have fun. This is the most important rule and the other are meant to help this one take place. This is a game and meant to be fun.

-- General Promotion Guidelines(explained fully in the private statement) --

  • Cabin Person - Anyone can join, just ask an Officer or above.
  • Pirate - Some experience in the main duty puzzles; sails, carp, bilge, and guns. Aim for NARROW experience and DISTINGUISHED standing in each. If you can't get the standing, aim for BROAD experience in that puzzle.
  • Officer - More experience in the main duty puzzles as well as some experience navving and b-navving. Aim for BROAD experience and RESPECTED standing in sails, carp, bilge, and guns and NARROW in nav and NEOPHYTE in b-nav. If you cannot get the standing, aim for SOLID or WEIGHTY experience in the puzzle. **NOTE** Before you become an Officer you will have to pass training and testing, you will not need an Officer Badge for most of the training. Training and testing takes about a week and gives everyone a chance to get to know you.
  • Above Officer - Fleet Officer and Senior Officer become more about loyalty and trust than stats though improved standings and more experience are also looked at.
