History
Saielna joined the ranks of pirates on the Midnight Ocean on December 7th, 2006. For a time, she remained an independent pirate, content to work alone. An early foray into Steel Magnolias was less than productive, as it seemed she kept a schedule opposite to most in that crew. Shortly after joining, she left again, pursuing opportunities as a jobber for others. It was while jobbing for the flag Incredible, in the second portion of the great 24-hour blockade, that she began to find a zany group who she felt comfortable with. Initially jobbed by Chrisspy, and then later serving aboard a vessel with Coconaut, both of Barnacle for Brains, Saielna began to relax and have fun.
After the event was over, she spent time with members of the flag and crew alike, stuck in awe of their lime and pink goodness. After a few drunken swordfight challenges, and the ensuing clatter and ruckus, she knew that this was the crew for her. A series of nervous, and tentative, forays soon found that she was accepted into the crew as a cabin person. The requisite joke for entrance had a punchline of "Arr, it's driving me nuts", possibly instituting the crew's new rule about just what kind of jokes would be acceptable.
Saielna eventually subscribed, making herself a pirate, but was content to do little more than take a job and happily work for sometime. With her hard work, she was moved up to officer, but resisted attempts by others to make her a fleet officer, feeling she had neither the knowledge nor ability to live up to that position. As Incredible geared up for Cleo VI blockade against Silver Dawn, however, Saielna finally screwed up her courage and asked to be made fleet officer, so she could help navigate. With her executive officer Spooker, she took a war brig onto the field at the blockade, and managed to last for a full round and half of the second, before finally sinking. A jolly good time was had, and though she quickly requested that she be demoted once more to officer, she thought fondly of her time on the blockade board.
As Chrisspy slipped out of Barnacle for Brains due to other draws on his time, the captaincy was left open, being filled at this point by a rotation of others. Interested in doing more for her crew, and with a few fun event ideas, Saielna tossed her hat in the ring for the position, running under a platform that included not having others pay her anything, being happy to help others, and her similarity to a baby seal. Much to her surprise, she was elected, and began work as captain.
She was working on implementation for two different events, neither of which had been formally announced, when she mysteriously disappeared, leaving behind a note that merely read "Gone sailing". It is not believed that she will ever return to the ocean, though one can always hold out hope.
