Radiant phoenix feather

The radiant phoenix feather is a trinket that can be obtained by opening a gold box purchased from a bank. It was first seen in release 2012-03-21. As of release 2015-09-29, the radiant phoenix feather will be available in all the colors of the gold box trinket palette.

Historical notes

For the initial release in April 2012, the trinket was available in all the colors of the gold box trinket palette, including spring green, the limited edition color for that month. Most of the colors looked strange, however, as the trinket was not actually meant to be colored. Beginning with the June 2012 round of gold boxes, it was only available in its originally intended "nocolor" version.

In release 2015-02-24, color information was added to trinket mouse hover tooltips. The "nocolor" radiant phoenix feather listed its color as red. A release 2015-05-28 bugfix made the radiant phoenix feather uncolored, as it was always meant to be, but this had the unintended side-effect of also decoloring the "booched" feathers from the initial release, with all existing trinkets reverting to the nocolor version. A few days later, the trinket was readjusted to support recoloring, and all existing feathers regained their previous color labels. However, the actual appearance of the colors has changed, so the old palette has been archived for historical purposes.

Note: The original "nocolor" feather was labeled as red in the palette.
