Pondera was a crew on the Sage Ocean.

History

This crew was founded by Ventouzas on August the 3rd 2006 and was an offshoot of the crew Little flower. This crew was originally formed as The Black Knights. Ventouzas formally quit the game on September the 30th 2006. After some movement in the Senior ranks, Rumsundae took control of the crew. Later, the crew name was changed from The Black Knights to Pondera to assist in the restructuring of ranks and the introduction of Oligarchy to the crew.

In June 2007, Rumsundae took a break from the crew and Aruns became captain. Rumsundae returned to the crew from early September through early October after memorising the Sage Ocean. On her final departure, Crazyking was voted in as captain. When he left, This was voted in.

In February 2008, Allied Saruyama Forces all but folded. Captain This led the crew into the flag Zero. In June 2008, the crew merged into Lemons and Limes.

Public Statement

This crew is built on friendships and fun, rather than ensuring you reach Ultimate rank in all of your puzzles. That said, there are a few things we will be looking for before promoting you:

Requirements for Promotion

These are just some general guidelines to let you know what we are looking for in our ranks. They are not rigid; if you feel you deserve a promotion, please ask me, or one of my Senior Officers. That said, if we deny your request for a promotion, please put our constructive advice to good use.

~ Cabin Person ~ This is an entry-level rank. All are welcome in this position, yes… even you. ;-)

~ Pirate ~ This is a rank for those of us showing that they are determined to be a part of the crew. These players usually have a few narrows and distinguished in their piracy skills from pillaging with us on a few occasions.

~ Officer ~ Becoming an Officer is a proud moment for any pirate! Officers in this crew have demonstrated that they have good interpersonal and organisational skills. They are responsible for running pillages and restocking the vessels that they use. They may also serve as role models, helping newer members with puzzle tips. For this reason, many officers will have some solid piracy skills with a few respected or above standings.

~ Fleet Officer ~ In this crew, Fleet Officers are more experienced pillagers and have higher battle navigation standings than newer officers. They are loyal and trustworthy members of the crew and are promoted based on their merit, not statistics pages. Fleet Officers will have served with the crew or within the flag for an extensive period of time and have proven their dedication to their peers.

~ Senior Officer ~ These are the long-standing members of the crew and are in control of the smooth running of the crew. Senior Officers vote on issues and discuss promotions whilst making themselves available for answering crew questions and providing useful tips to increase player proficiency in the duty puzzles. Senior Officers are responsible for making sure that the crew works as a team at all times, and all instructions from them are to be followed.

~ Captain ~ The Captain is taken care of and is in charge of providing crew members with a safe and friendly gaming environment. No, we do not wish to merge into your Crew or join your Flag.

Jobbers: Please behave on trips. No spamming, no begging to gun – the usual behaviour expected from all crews on the Sage. Furthermore, if foraging is done on a pillage, the items foraged will be sold for poe. The poe will then be divided amongst those who foraged only. Don't be shy to lend some of your labour hours!

POTENTIAL CREW MEMBERS: Our flag is often involved in blockades. If there is a blockade of us, or our alliances, you are expected to attend and help us fight. Failure to contribute lets your team down, which WILL be remembered come promotion time.
