The flag Echidna's Children, based on the Hunter Ocean, was formed on 11 September 2007. The founding members elected a monarch who would keep that theme alive.

Monarchy
- Monarch - Echidna, Mother of monsters, Dark Queen, Reigning from 11 September 2007 until the Earth ceases to rotate on it's axis. (Or until 11 October 2007 when she was ousted from her role and replaced by Alyhs)
- On 27 March 2009 Echidna seized the reigns of control from Alyhs' hands and attempted to kick The Eternal Hydrae out of the flag!

History/About
Echidna's Children is a group of like-minded adults seeking to better themselves, their crews, and the ocean. As Echidna's children were spared by Zeus to be a challenge to future heroes, so we hope to challenge our fellow Hunter denizen's, both on the blockade board and off.
One thing that sets EC apart is that we are more than a flag, we are a family. We have our occasional squabbles, but mess with one of us and you mess with all of us! We come together in times of adversity and in times of joy. (And when we get together for fun, we like to break out the rum and pass it around...sometimes a bit too much is imbibed, but what is a family gathering without a little intoxication? We ARE pirates after all!)
On 1 October 2008, many members of the flag chose to go their own ways, so that the flag could restructure and get back to its roots. Although no one wanted to leave the fellowship of the flag, it was decided that it would be in the best interests of the flag and her allies.
Public Statement
Echidna was the mother of all monsters and WE are her children....FEAR US!!!
