Bazaars
I think it's okay to have a page on 'em as long as the new/advertisement is removed. It provides oceanwide info on the names of buildings, something which isn't compiled anywhere else. --Guppymomma 18:00, 14 August 2005 (PDT)
- I generally agree, although I'd hate to have pages that are basically empty. --Barrister 21:22, 14 August 2005 (PDT)
- Yeah, I can't think of more info to put on the pages, but due to the giant compilation issue I don't think there is a good alternative currently. Plus as all names are linked under the buildings section for islands, we've essentially "asked" for them to be made. The only other info I could think of would be to list the flag under whose rule the building was built. --Guppymomma 21:26, 14 August 2005 (PDT)
- Another tidbit that could be added is the month/year the building was created. That information is available in every location. In fact, it should probably be part of the templates. --Barrister 21:56, 14 August 2005 (PDT)
- I'll get on it. Wasn't sure about the ads, originally, but figured I'd put them up to be safe. But I like that idea, I'll add it in. --Markozeta 22:06, 14 August 2005 (PDT)
- The problem I have with them is that there is so little "history" of a bazaar. I don't mind them being there as long as people aren't compelled to put words there for the sake of putting words there. Bazaars should not get the stub template, since they're essentially complete owner history, and date of construction. — Callistan (talk/contrib) 23:03, 14 August 2005 (PDT)
- I put up an example at Middle Girth, see also Talk:Middle Girth. It seems to fit, and I think you could even put the history in a template format without to much difficulty. Then, one can add the news if there is something interesting. I know some bazaar news is interesting, others is just ads. I'll remove all the ads from the regular buildings as well. --Markozeta 23:16, 14 August 2005 (PDT)
Dusted buildings
I added the dusted buildings categories for the current oceans, and then figured out why (I think) they weren't added to begin with, i.e. the former oceans only have dusted buildings now. I'm kind of on the fence about it, though. I mean, yes, the logic is sound, but in practice might be counter-intuitive. So, I'll probably revert my changes, but I at least wanted a note here about it for the next time it throws someone for a loop. --Budclare2 23:33, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
